I think there is no need to convert your Bitcoin to ethereum. You can buy Eth and hold both BTC and ETH. These two coins have potential.

I wouldn't put all funds in one basket. Diversity is the very wise thing and it's highly applicable for crypto, considering its vulnerability to exposure of many different factors. I think it's much safer to keep both BTC and ETH.

Well, I think it is also good to have an ETH investment but you don't have to sell all of your btc just to buy ETH. Just separate your investment into two. 50% for btc and also for ETH.

in the normal state of things in the crypto-currency market, you could keep funds in 50 to 50% bitcoin and the ethereal. But since Bitcoin is in very bad condition today, it's better not to take risks, but to transfer all active to the etherium.

It's up to your decision whether you convert it to ethereum or not. The only person to be blamed of at the end is you yourself alone. Decision making is very hard especially in this aspect. Crypto world is different from the real world that we live in. This is digitized and the risk is unlimited so whatever happens,always prepare yourself to continue the battle.

Ethereum is pretty cool. Lately I've been trying to get into Dapps and games that are being developed with the smart contract functioning of the Eth network. Most of the games are like ICO scams in that they offer presale of OP items that you can't actually use because it's just pixel games and no gameplay Grin but I like it because eventually there will be a good game with low entry I think War of Cryptos might be that...but be careful. I don't invest in pre-sales anyways.

I think this is not a good idea that sell bitcoin to buy ethereum because bitcoin is the base currency and leader of the crypto market still and all the altcoins including ethereum always follows the bitcoin movement up or down. In my opinion it is to much better holds bitcoin rather then converting it to ethereum.

Both bitcoin and ethereum are presently at good low price. Just personal for you to choose what you want to buy, but I think if you want to get faster some benefit you can convert.

I would recommend to hold an equal share of BTC and ETH in your portfolio. First of all, it's better to hold several coins than one for risk deversification, and I think that every investor should have both of these coins in his portfolio.

I agree with holding both BTC and ETH in your portfolio, it shouldnt matter wheter you hold more ETH or BTC, now its a pitty that BTC still decides which way the altcoins are going, I am just waiting for the moment these amazing projects and altcoins are not depending on BTC, BTC is in my oppinion something that it shouldnt be and this is due to the fact that futures and cme and screwing the market, once there are more USD pairs on altcoins I hope they are not depending on BTC and every coin has its own ups and downs, this shows us that we are still very early in the market.

This is a decision  you have to make by yourself, because there are times you may not be able to predict perfectly well what the outcome of any of the coins would be. Sometimes though, i prefer to invest in altcoins.

IMO, no.
Ethereum is like going with the flow of bitcoin. Once bitcoin is up then it goes the same way and when it is down the same happens to its price.
Been monitoring both for quite some time and I see it that way.

In the end, it is your decision. If you are going to trade then best pick would be Ethereum since there is a lot of movement from it.

My suggestion is to you don't do that if you can cheak both graph and history bitcoin upward trend is very high but eth upward is slow then bitcoin bitcoin trade or increase 1000 $ a day it has that potential but I think eth has not that potential this time so be with bitcoin.

My advise is that just keep holdin your BTC and keep waiting for the another bullrun of it, at the same time invest to etherium to have another earnings beside of bitcoin. This two will give you big profit if you are willing to wait. Smiley

it is not a good idea to convert his bitcoin to ethereum because the value will be worth bitcoin than ethereum but like you said, he can do everything he wants. but one thing that he needs to realize that if finally, he doesn't have to regret if somehow, bitcoin price can increase higher and back to the last high price because bitcoin value will be more than just ethereum.
