What would be a problem is if his addresses were brute forced (to succesfully find the private key to one or more of his addresses) because that would mean that bitcoin is indeed vulnerable and that could bring the price to virtually zero....if satoshi(if alive) instead wanted to spend his bitcoins there would be an initial panic-selling but price would recover quickly enough. after all even satoshi has the right to spend his bitcoins, NO? if satoshi(or his relatives) wanted to transfer/spend the bitcoins he should announce it in an anonimous message telling everybody not to worry after all.do you agree with me?

After all i think he is probably dead or hiding or he lost(or never saved) his private keys . i hope for the hiding option

i had a look at this forum (that he founded) and his second last post is in december 2010 when he said that he didn't like the attention that wikileaks had brought to bitcoin. "the swarm is coming towards us" he said. then he disappeared. Gavin Andersen said that the last time he excahnged a message with him was when he told satoshi that he had been called by the CIA for an interview.....i think he was very scared. but we don't know what happened to him. maybe we will find out somehow

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

The technology consultant is increasingly sophisticated since he's been the initiator of Block Chain just like every other user since he started it and let it down to every user, minners, stakers, traders, even Investors and many others interested in it to tap from its potential. So the amount of money that Satoshi possessed is unknown. I do not know who he is. Because Satoshi Nakamoto does not exist. Blokchain is hierarchical, so no one knows for sure about any BTC addresses

Satoshi Nakamoto holds 980,000 Bitcoins.. does anyone know their addresses so we know if he/she/they are active in the market? I would guess Bitcoin is their baby and they wouldn't do anything to manipulate the prices and hurt Bitcoin. But would they be taking corrective measures to fight off some of the other whales?

Its kinda weird question but interesting to me if Satoshi Nakamoto is still "alive" and watching.
To be exact, an anonymous tenant is holding 980,000 Bitcoins, no one knows for sure who the owner is! Finding this person will greatly affect the Bitcoin community and altcoin!

Well, if he holds 980,000 btc and each block gives a reward of 50 btc we can deduce his address from the first blocks...

Code:
980000/50 = 19600

So, the first 19600 blocks was mined by satoshi and to search those address you can start from: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block-height/0 to https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block-height/19600

Do it manually could take you lot of time, i recommend you to code a script who make the job for you if you really want those addys.

*I could be wrong because not sure at what block people start mining.

Everything was just a speculation and so nothing is certain. All we can see are addresses that store huge amount of bitcoin and we didn't know if it's controlled neither by individual and corporate. So despite of the information that we knew, why we keep on digging it?
However, this is what made bitcoin great as ever that banks and government can't give. A full privacy that we're all been waiting.

Actualy, we know.
https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

There are just 3 (single) addresses holding more than 100.000 btc, and they belong to major exchanges. Soon to be 5 addresses, but still.

Probably satoshi’s btc are splitted in different utxo, stored in different addresses.... on a wallet that even more probably is lost forever Smiley

I think everyone who has that much bitcoin must be tracked and it won't be hide.
But in my opinion, satoshi is not just a one man person. It must be a group of people

Very interesting topic. Whenever i watch over his profile, i believe he is hereabouts among this community with a different profile name but impossible to identify from which profile he writes, the same way there will be different answers upon satoshi's owned addresses but it is not easy to guess which addresses satoshi nakamoto owns

No one really knows how much Bitcoin he holds or whether he holds atall. The whole thing is based on assumption that some of the oldest Bitcoin addresses which have loads of unmoved Bitcoin is owned by Satoshi. Nobody is certain.

A good Cryptocurency developer deserves reasonable amount of Coins whether from premined or donations. It is the only way to incentivize a dev since  Blockchain is collectively owned by users

Nobody knows if he is even alive. While some of those addresses are certainly his, no one knows how many of those private keys actually got lost.
There's a chance that a big amount of those Bitcoin still can be accessed, but it is somehow protected so it could be only accessed by Satoshi's successors some many years later - it's possible that this is what Craig Wright wanted to access when he tried to impersonate Satoshi.

This information is quite interesting, here are some bitcoin not holes. If any investor has it, he is definitely a fish and can make waves on the bitcoin price chart. I really do not know where Satoshi Nakamoto. But I'm sure he is living happily with his family and with the bitcoin he has.

It will be no wonder that he own that much bitcoins because he is the founder of bitcoin.
But i think we cannot trace his address unless he active using his address and he admit what address he is using.

Are you ready to hear the truth???

This Satoshi Nakamoto group STOLE the Bitcoin idea from me in 2009.

I'm the guy that came up with the idea for all of this and had it stolen from me by a group of programmers using the alias "Satoshi Nakamoto." Who these people are, I have no clue. All I can tell you is that I'm the guy that invented the idea. This took place on the forum Godlike Productions in 2009. The thread the idea was presented in was later deleted by Jason Lucas, the owner of Godlike Productions. So, that guy was absolutely involved in the theft of the idea.

I came up with pretty much every aspect of Bitcoin. This group added a few details when they programmed it, but the main core of the idea came from me. I never even heard of Bitcoin until the year 2012, or 2013.

1. I came up with the idea to start with 20,000,000 Coins. This group stole the idea and started with 21,000,000 coins. That's why there are 21 million Bitcoins (as opposed to a more logical number like 20 million), because they had to change the idea around to avoid the appearance of stealing my idea. I'm the reason they're called "coins."

2. I came up with the idea to use letters for the addresses. I'm the reason your Bitcoin addresses (and every other Cryptocurrency) use letters. As letters make it harder to determine and track the address due to having more combinations required to crack and trace. It also makes it impossible for 2 account numbers to be generated by different wallets at the same time due to there being more possible combinations. That was the main reason I suggested using letters in the address.

3. I came up with the idea to use temporary addresses that would be deleted after every transaction. That's why your wallets constantly change the address. In order to keep your transactions from being traced by the authorities. My idea was actually superior to every Wallet in existence today, because I came up with the idea for the account holder to MAKE UP THEIR OWN ADDRESSES. I'll likely start my own wallet in the future based on this idea. Which, is really what the original idea was in the beginning and this group changed it around by having the wallets generate the address for you.

The concept of having a limited number of "coins" came from SAVINGS BONDS. As I received a $50 Savings Bond when I was kid from my grandparents. So, that's where the core of idea came from. Nothing new at all. It was based on Savings Bonds.

I invented this idea due to the fact that I made an illegal purchase of Cannabis Seeds on the internet with my Debit Card in the year 2006. This always made me paranoid that my transaction could be tracked by the authorities. This was the primary motivation for the creation of the idea of Bitcoin. This Satoshi Nakamoto group is nothing more than a complete FRAUD that simply programmed my idea into existence after I presented it on a public forum for all to see. 2 months after I presented the idea I was busted growing weed and had my life destroyed. Leaving me in a state of depression and causing me to focus on other issues. As I was facing prison time, as a result. So, I had more important issues to focus on then some idea about a new type of money and banking that I presented literally "off the top of my head" one day on a public forum. This idea wasn't planned out for a long time before presenting it. It was merely an idea I simply came up with off the top of my head one day while posting on Godlike Productions.

I'm requesting that this Satoshi Nakamoto group transfer half of those 1 million Bitcoins in that dormant wallet/s into my Binance account. This group is well aware of this request and is basically refusing to do it. If they continue to refuse compliance this issue will go into court. As I have a legal right to sue every single Exchange owner, Wallet owner, and large scale Coin owner in existence that profited from the trading of my idea without my permission. If you people wish for the Cryptocurrency market to continue as usual, I would highly recommend that you demand this Satoshi Nakamoto group comply with my request. As an Intellectual Property Theft lawsuit of this magnitude will surely scare away large investors into Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in general until the conclusion of this lawsuit.

Why do you think this Satoshi Nakamoto guy/group refused to reveal themselves all these years?
It's because they're thieves and liars. That's the reason.

*I could be wrong because not sure at what block people start mining.

it all comes down to this. the 19600 blocks that you calculated above takes a lot more than 136 days because there are technically 144 blocks per day but if Satoshi was mining alone his hashrate couldn't have been high and the difficulty could not be below 1 so it took longer (as you can see from earlier blocks). so if we assume Satoshi was mining alone then we are saying for 5 months nobody even looked at bitcoin which is not right. there were people who showed interest from early days.

I do not know the information about Satoshi's address, but the 980k BTC amount is very large, and can dump BTC prices up to 2k USD / BTC

Yes.

There are multiple addresses associated with Satoshi.

The first would be the address to which the first block award, called the "genesis block", was sent to: 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa

Then there is his/her main address, which has the $900+k you mentioned. I don't know the address for that on and a quick Google search didn't help, but if you download Bitcoin Core you can scroll to the beginning of time in Bitcoin world and find the wallet addresses used for the very first transactions...one of those is owned by Satoshi.

Finally, Satoshi created this forum and has an account here...he/she may have an bitcoin address posted on their profile, check for yourself: Satoshi's Profile

I really like the posting information from this person
I just realized that Satoshi was the maker of this forum and last online was in 2010
a Bitcoin legend whose identity is very mysterious

Satoshi has kept his identity secret so this itself means that obviously how much btc even if held any would remain untraceable or cannot be known. Else who would not have like to come forward and say they invested this when he world is looking at Satoshi and still searching for them.

Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive, even though Satoshi Nakamoto may be in possession of that quantity of bitcoin, I think Satoshi may be holding it for The well being of the cryptocurrency community. Satoshi is not a greedy person.

Here is my 2 cents.  Roll Eyes

I do not believe Satoshi ever conceived that this experiment would become this successful and that bitcoins would become this valuable. I think he only mined coins in the beginning to get things going and he most probably lost most of the private keys for those mined coins. <This was just a testing exercise>

Remember, back then most of these coins was virtually worthless, so throwing them around and playing with them was not a big deal. Just imagine if Satoshi has to emerge now and admit that he lost all of the private keys for those coins that was mined in the early days.  Grin
