Congratulations.

The BTC community needs footage of you throwing Bitcoins out the window driving that car.

Thank you all for your best wishes. If you know anyone in the media who wants to do a positive PR story on BTC hook them up with this thread.

Official congratulations. I think this is so far the most impressive item bought with bitcoins.

I hope so Smiley   Thx

A year from now we need an official Bitcoin Lamborghini meetup.   Grin

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

I read a story about some trucker who won one of these things in a raffle.  He made it about a mile on it's maiden voyage before totaling it.  Of course he had not gotten around to obtaining insurance by that time.  The worst of it was that he owed a shit-load of taxes on the value of his winnings.  So, at (litterally) the end of the day he had a tens of thousands of dollar debt and nothing on the positive side of the ledger.

There are several related morals to the story I suppose.  Be careful what you wish for, and there are many ways to snatch defeat from jaws of victory which can be, in hindsight, fairly obvious.

Relatedly, I had a mid engine car for a time (and old MR2 with a nice suspension) and due to the low polar moment of inertia it was amazing how fast one could end up looking in the rear view mirror to see what one is going to hit.  I'd suggest finding a road course to experiment around on if you are into that sort of thing.

Very nice!

How much will it cost if you want to take it over to Thailand though? Isn't it something ridiculous like 300% tax on cars?

Remember that guy who did the interview on BBC with Max Keiser? Saw him in another interview recently bringing this up. He was saying that the car dealership would now be sitting on a 50% loss. Erm, no, they changed it up into USD via bitpay dumbass, lol.

We all know Bitcoin is still volatile, and for now we have to hedge in USD because it's stable. Hopefully in another five years, Bitcoin will be stable enough that it will be unnecessary to convert straight to fiat. And hopefully by then I'll be able to buy one of these!

Nice, Goat!

Be careful with that beast.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Big congrats! I guess it pays to be an early adopter, huh?

Funny enough, one of my co-workers had sent me an article related to this by Skype. I had to laugh!

Have fun with it... Smiley

such horsepower

very boost

wow

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Nice you!
Guys, before envy takes you think about the risk Goat took when buying the coins back in the days - well deserved.

Goat, drive carefully!
