Yup biggest mistake in crypto with the exception of jumping out of BTC at 80 dollars after silk road got busted. Only had a handful but was upsetting to watch it's ride to 1k just a few days later. Well...was mixed feelings since i knew it would be great coverage for crypto hitting the 1k mark.

Anyway holding the doge i have left since i believe with such a wide audience now Doge will retain value or rise higher in the med term. Will be rocky now the earliest adopters believe they've now missed the top and rush to dump....these will be absorbed by the market since everyone wants a few million DOGE for their crypto portfolio ..so billions doesn't mean all that much.

Alright, here is my plan.

If randomization is close to perfect, there will effectively be 1,562,500,000 coins left after block 600,000.

I will change the reward to 1,000 after block 600,000. That would cause the cap to be reached in approximately 3 years (will do 1240000 blocks of this).

After which time, only transaction fees as the reward.

Due to randomization, this will be very close but not exactly 100B, but with a huge runway where I can adjust if needed.

Doges will end, and people will mine the next greatest thing, yes it will be up and down for a while but ultimately it will just fizzle out and die as people point their mining rigs elsewhere, and investors move on to the new coins.

Technically, dogecoin is not more of a scam than bitcoin. Being there back in the days when bitcoin was valued less than 1 USD, I am amazed to see a very similar type of reactions from people. It's a scam, it's a great invention, it has no value, it is brillant, it is a ponzi, duh, durr, derp…

If you have money, I would advise to buy while it's low — things will be very different a few months from now
