how will i know if i've been forked? i updated wallet.dat before 2406 or whatever block it was earlier, but i didn't know i had to back up wallet.dat first.. or so i read earlier. am i.. forked? still gaining tips, been mining all day while out.

**edit; i see fedora only at 2209 right now, so i upgraded without backing up wallet.dat first, i'm guessing i'm ok, correct?
****ha.. edit 2; i see there's another one, .43 now. gonna upgrade to that one, i'm assuming wallet.dat is a moot point, just run the new version of fedoracoin-qt instead of the old?

you welcome. make a helpdesk name and leave a comment on that exchange request thread and we may see it happen real soon. depends on their looking into the coin details and deciding if it's viable for them i assume.

edit; also.. still new, been mining for less than a week. what does it mean when a pool or your wallet gets forked? do you still visibly gain coins that you really don't ever get?

Sorry, fell asleep last night after a long day Wink.

Everyone who has lost coins, visit this site: http://fedora-old.my-pool.in/
This is the old Database with all users and pending coins. Just do a manual withdraw Wink.

Merry XMAS @Bitcointalk & sorry for all the inconveniences.

I've send you multiple PM messages. Just found out about this post from you, but the link does not work (anymore?). I had a lot of fedora coins on your old pool. Hope you still can help me out.

Guys I'm in China and I can confirm with better coin mining pool, the best service.
Fast and reliable, do the registration and go.
I mined nearly 30.000.000 coins. I can sell between 10.000.000 and 15.000.000

TIPS is doing really well, just yesterday I've analysed the whole and I can say to be a young currency is going mad. Too many people knows about it, and it will be more than DOGE but not because it's DOGE vs TIPS but just because it's the second time so more people will know, with DOGE I made a lot so I clearly know how much can I sell.

10.000.000 300BTC (Remember that no alt-coins with a launch like that will remain with only 5 zero before the number, so you can guess your gaining).

Thanks for the attention,
ask me for escrow and everything no probs.

tips.bettercoin.org has a major problem right now. no problem, see below

Currently total hashrate of the TIPS network is ~500MH/s. But because of the difficulty bug, the virtual hashrate is in fact 2550MH/s, so there's a block found every 5.2 mn instead of 1mn.

That we already know.

tips.bettercoin.org is supposed to have ~80MH/s, or ~16% of the network hashrate, leading to an average of 1 block every 31 to 32mn. This is what their stats is showing.

Now look at the nicknames here https://tips.bettercoin.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool
A certain Vovan0512 is hashing at ~9.6MH/s.

He's supposed to have 9.6/2550*1440*2500000 = 13.5 millions TIPS per day on average. That's with 0 orphan/stale, so multiply it by 0.85 and you have ~11.5millions per day.
But it's written ~5.5 millions.

So by searching why it's the case, I just searched the payment distribution for each block here : https://tips.bettercoin.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks
And what can you see on multiple blocks ?

A certain anonymous is getting nearly 50% of the payment, while not appearing anywhere. He has 7* more share than Vovan0512, so he must be hasing at ~70 MH/s no ? But isn't the pool's hash at ~80MH/s. Why does he not appear anywhere ?
In the case that "he just leaved", this still does not explain why Vovan0512 is only having half what he should.

Either it's a major bug and a random lucky anonymous guy is getting half the TIPS, or this anonymous guy simply does not appear and is not counted in any stats for whatever reason, or this pool was hacked and someone is stealing everybody else.

Edit: false alarm it seems, it's only a problem with the calculated TIPS/per day shown, there really was a big anonymous user until 3 hours ago
