It depends to the project, if their project is successful then that coin is a potential and it could be possible increase multiple times, you could be millionaire if you lucky to invest a potential coin.

They are lot more profitable than the highly costed one. Off course you have to put very less amount in that market and you can get huge money out of it in short period of holding. The undervalued coins however must be chosen very carefully. Just because they have less value doesnt mean they are good and might easily spike! One should keep track of growing economy of the coin, how much trading volume they are receiving everyday, and is the supporter base strong enough or not. If everything seems to you positive then thats the coins of choice you have got. Ex. IOST and REM.

Your advice is very good but many people simply do not want to apply it, they see the opportunity to make money with cryptocurrencies and they immediately think about them getting 100x profits and when they realize that the more money they invest the more rich they will become then they decide to invest money they cannot afford to lose with the obvious consequences such decisions often brings.
