Altough I don't like to give financial advice because I am not a financial advisor Wink if you have $10,000 to invest in anything other than bitcoin then some altcoins like Tezos (XTZ), Cardano ( ADA), Theta and Eterbase (Xbase) could be an option for long term hodling. If you just want do swing trade to make more bitcoin then I would stick with the higher liquid altcoin markets.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

For me, this choice seems to be at least something strange. Why do you choose these currencies? OK, I can understand Waves, but XRP... 10 thousand is much, and it will be better to spend it on Bitcoin.
almost all of my friends who had approximately the same starting capital, I invested 300, 400 or 500 dollars in all the top-rated coins in the cryptocurrency market.  In some cases, users of cryptocurrencies preferred good projects, which at the present time really showed good results, such as pundi X or populus.  But in some cases, my friends even tried to abandon Bitcoin, because they have big hopes for a token, which is owned by very promising companies.

Invest in reliable cryptocurrencies. No doubt that Bitcoin should be chosen as the number one crypto to invest in. However, do not forget about the altcoins which will not only stay alive but grow (ETH, DASH, Litecoin).

I think it's a really bad choice to invest in ripple right now instead you need to invest in undervalued altcoin such eos good luck with your future investment decisions

How do you guys feel about

$5000 in XRP
$5000 in WAVES

Hodling for long term returns

That's great but there's a bigger risk on only having 2 coins on your portfolio and not at least see BTC and ETH in it. I personally have a combination of 50~70%ish BTC and ETH combine and the remaining is allocated in startup coins that I believe will soon give me profits. Ripple is great as it has a great use case and you can also look in good projects in IEO's. I love startups that have great technology behind it such as augmented reality and great/known people working. We don't wanna get scammed anyways so investing in a well-established project is already great but for startups, you should always stay vigilant.

Current investment in my opinion is good because prices fluctuate, so speculative investors can profit in the short term. One or two days the crypto price has changed in 10% and even 20%.
Of course this is an opportunity for large investors who will enter their money, whether prices fall or even prices rise. They have their own calculations that are not worried about capital.

As far as I know XRP is a centralized shitcoin. I would take it as the most risky coin. Better you invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum. Those are the most profitable with less risk since both of these have its own usage as well.

if you believe in both cryptocurrencies, i think its better for you to change the percentage mate
maybe 15% on XRP, 15% on waves, then 30% on ethereum and 40% on bitcoin
and thats will be good enough in my opinion buddy

Waves is quite a redundant blockchain to me. Its not even a primary mover in bull run, I will rather choose Xrp and bnb. I am sure you won't loose money in these because they are primary coin

I do not feel like spending 5 thousand for Ripple and 5K for Waves. First of all, the sum is too big. Secondly, other altcoins will bring more.  My choice is Litecoins now and Ethereum. NEM and NEO alts can be good.

You got a lot of funds. And I think you could've tried to spread your investments more. XRP and waves are top coins and have the capability to grow in the future but since you have $10,000 you could've looked for more coins in the top 20. You can at least have 10 coins to hold in that $10k.

For me it won't leave bitcoin and ethereum, and it will divide 40% in bitcoin and the rest for ethereum is 30% wave 20% and ripple 10%.

That would be a very slim portfolio. I will rather have $7000 shared between Ripple, Neo, stellar and litecoin with the rest of funds going into IEO projects from Binance, OKEx, Bgogo, Gate and BW. If you get into any of these exchange IEOs, you are sure of x2 return on your investment in short run

so, you can get about 100 - 200 everyday, thats a good earning right,

Why don't you enter Bitcoin or Ethereum on your list? I think Bitcoin and Ethereum can have better potential, or maybe you can add BNB coins that are currently booming.

As you said, BNB is booming currently. It does not mean that this token has the coolest potential, and it will be growing all the time. As for Ethereum, here, everything is different - it will be the gainer, sooner or later.

you can also split them into four different kinds because when we trust this very few investments it may not be successful in our future that's why I'm saying you can also divided your investment into four different kinds and make your investment on different currencies it will be more comfortable for you to get the profit in your future
