Just got back from seeing Non-Stop. It's enjoyable but a fair bit predictable.

I'd wait for a rental.

Is it similar to Flightplan or Redeye? I enjoy a lot of those trapped in one place movies, but they don't really hold up on repeat viewings as the suspense is gone after the twists have been revealed.

I'd say better. The suspense never really left IMO and only a few twists really got revealed. A lot of twists were revealed more to the end of the movie in a "mindblown" sort-of-way. IMO atleast.

Isn't that how most twists are revealed? haha. But I do like those "mindblowing" ones that really add something else to the film.

Point taken, but this one was different in a way. I don't want to go into too much detail to prevent myself from spoiling the movie.

However, the "mindblowing" ones were the "chill up your spine" ones. The movie was so different every 20-30 minutes; leaving the audiences minds to jump back and forth on suspicions. Leaving the theatre all you could hear were invalid and wrong suspicions because maybe 10% (made up statistic of what I heard) of the people actually guessed it.

Like I said, this one (atleast for me) was not easy to guess because there was such so much theory and not many clues provided.

Yeah, I like those ones, especially when you never see 'em coming. I wish I hadn't've seen it has a twist now though because when I watch it I'll be looking for it and trying to analyse the film too much haha.

You pretty much can tell there is going to be a twist just by the plot of the movie. I'll say no more Tongue

All I know of the plot is Neeson is an air marshal and some shit goes down on a plane.

Then you basically know nothing about the movie as of now Tongue

Well, except that it has unexpected twists that I'll now be expecting haha.

I really enjoyed watching Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps a few days ago.
It has a good plot and should also be interesting to watch for people interested in finance.

The original Wall Street was much better than the 2nd one...

Never watched that one.
Do you mean the one from 1987? Why do you think it's better?

I don't know how to explain it...it just is.   Like compare Karate Kid the old school one...to the one they made a few years ago...   I guess the new one seemed almost cheesy in comparison to the older version...I really don't know how to explain it...the old one was just an all around better movie (IMO)

I recommend The Fugitive 1993 starring Harrison Ford. This is a classic movie to watch and one of the all time best that everyone should see. Totally entertaining from beginning to end.

I recommend The Fugitive 1993 starring Harrison Ford.

The fugitive is definitely an old classic.  If we are talking about older movies too, then Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Good Fellas, and A Bronx Tale, are definitely amongst the all time greats...

I watched Red Cliff and The Art of Steal today and I think they are great movies.

Art of Steal was a clever movie, which was entertaining.  If they could have booked a stronger cast, I think the movie would have gotten some serious exposure.

Apocalypto
Pretty dark movie, lots of oldschool badass violence... Uses subtitles only (5.1 Maya language only) but surprisingly that works and adds alot of depth.
Definitely nothing for your girlfriend/wife etc.

Enemy at the gates
WW2 Stalingrad Sniper vs. Sniper movie, very dense atmosphere and overall very well done.

Band of Brothers
A very well done HBO series, absolutely worth watching.

Pitch Black
Although a classic Vin Diesel setup, the idea was fresh and turned out as a pretty dark setup, pretty well-done for SciFi fans.

Seen Apocalypto twice now, the first time I caught it part way through - fantastic film.

Enemy at the Gates is often on television, another good film to watch with lots of English actors.

Re-watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with the girlfriend last night. For a rom-com, it's actually not bad and fun.

We also watched Austin Powers 2 afterwards... Just 'cause.
