I think meditation is not only useful to focus on one attention and make the body relax again. Scientific studies prove that meditation not only provides tranquility but also physical health.

I never tried meditation, but would love to try. Its really hard to not think about anything. But I'd love to try! When I tried: I just didn't know how I am supposed to feel and if I was doing it right.

anxiety is an emotional problem that everyone can experience from time to time. feel tense before giving a show or taking an exam, or even as long as you are very busy or a lot of thoughts are a natural thing. however, the anxiety itself is more than just stress.

Meditation is important and very beneficial. More and more people have become aware of the benefits of meditation, of which many of you have already mentioned. It's important to take time out of one's day, even for five or ten minutes, and find a quiet place to meditate. It takes practice but it is also important to remember not to judge yourself if you find your mind wondering and losing focus on, for example, your breathing or the steps of a guided meditation. When you realize your mind has lost focus just simply bring your awareness back to the meditation. Remember, meditation is not about clearing your mind completely. It is about focusing on the meditation technique being used, whether it be breathing, a mantra, ect. Over time with continued meditation you will find yourself worrying less about the chronic anxieties that once bombarded your mind.

So, one problem/question I always have with meditation... I read all those great posts describing how meditation made them better and happier people. That's exactly what I am hoping to get from meditation, becoming a better person and in general being happier with my life.

But in so many posts there's someone saying that you can't reach those goals when they are why you're mediating.. I'm not really getting that.. Isn't that the motivation why people meditate? For the benefits?

Hi guys,

Today I tried an app on my phone called : Insight Timer
which has a huge number of different meditation types, created and uploaded by a number of different instructors. I enjoyed using it. and I recommend it who would like to use guided meditations.
