A thought just passed my mind.
We should change add on to the title of the this thread as an (ASIC PROOF COIN). This is because by the middle of next year we should have the next generation of LTC scrypt miners for "Plain-Scrypt" and from the initial discussion these ASICS would not work for SCRYPT-JANE ..
cheers

STRATUM: stratum+tcp://stratum.cipherpool.com PORT: 8842 Username: Weblogin.Worker Password: Worker Password The pool settings considering the coin is meant to be mined with qqminer are confusing. Your getting started page metions using cgminer. Is this correct?

[WTS] 12.5k QQC @ 0.1BTC/thousand.
I don't mind going first for those with multiple positive reputation, otherwise I'm not going to.
I'm willing to do smaller trades to prove my legitimacy.

I see, great . However, the frondend is really laggy I think. Or is that just with me? Re-joined your pool again now, as I'm testing both and http://qqcoin.altexc.com has committed about 6000% shares for a single block already.

I mean it isn't instantly updated does it? Quit mining for a about 10 minutes and the dashboard still showed that I was mining. Anyway, i'm currently mining again at your pool. I think i'll keep doing that for a while now. Not sure whether there's something wrong with the frontend of http://qqcoin.altexc.com/, otherwise it has processed more than 8500% of average amount of shares needed.. That would be really unlucky ^^. Join me, mine at http://qqcoin.cryptovalley.com!

Every time they add a new coin to pools they just copy/ paste the same framework script with the standard wording, you can wait while they change it all or just use the provided miner and start mining! No point keep going on about cgminer, it will not work, been said loads of times in this thread so just accept it.

All of these pools show to use cgminer in their "getting started" page. Is this correct? I know for solo mining we have to use qqminer. But, can cgminer be used on pools for this coin?

I solo mined all day and night with qqminer and know that cgminer wont work solo.

No. CGMiner is for SHA-256 and Scrypt algorithms only. This coin is a form of Scrypt-Jane.

+1 to that!
Just create a batch file that runs the ybcminer instead of the cgminer EXE with your chosen pool settings (like you normally would with cgminer); why is that so difficult?

Is there any way to see the total network hashpower?
Running the "getmininginfo" command in the client does not show this.
