There has to be some witty comment about overheating mining cards for this, but I just can't put my finger on it  Undecided

is this a joke?

Until GRDT trades for 0.005 BTC or more then it is a joke. After that it is a missed opportunity. Ok, I guess that with 99.99% chance it will end up as a joke Smiley

The newer versions of CGminer are odd in that they will say "Found block for pool" when it really didn't. Don't ask me why.

If your CGminer looks like this then you are doing it right.

what is going on?
The newer versions of CGminer are odd in that they will say "Found block for pool" when it really didn't. Don't ask me why.

If your CGminer looks like this then you are doing it right.

Oh, yea forgot to mention I didn't reset cgminer, I switch between pool mining and solo. Soloing your Accepts will only go up when you mine a block for real.

Winner of the year on the most ridiculous coin. I guess I should not complain too much though as it will naturally attract morons who might otherwise be mining coins that matter. This coin is a great indicator of people. Like when I see some moron on the street with his pants dropped halfway down his ass I instantly know that person is not even worth giving the time of day to. So I guess some thanks should go out to the originator of this coin. Tongue

Right and they don't have the time of day for you unless they're trying to hustle/rob you.   Whether or not you buy into this coin you inevitably support it when you support cryptos.  Just as you judge people with low pants as not worth your time of day.  Everyone else judges you as a computer geek who cant do a sit up let alone is married.  I'm not saying you are but before you blanketly judge people you should see how easily it could be turned around on you.  As with doge and cat it's only gonna get crazier and let it because even with all this even grdt worth more than fiat. Do I even have to explain why we all know why we're here!

Tee hee me too! My pants fall down belt or not I think its because I walk like a girl(all in the hips with no ass).  We're all here to make money... good money because most of us have tried through the archaic fiat system and have been screwed our whole lives by the old money.  Atleast it's a pretty even field here and I hope that people don't do as they have done everywhere else and try and pull the ladder up behind them by trashing new stuff innovative or not.  Still not nearly as many types of or as much crypto out there as there are/is fiat even counting INF now.  And there's THE biggest computing network backing crypto.  But there is THE biggest debt backing fiats.  Rupees if that's how they're spelled sounds ridiculous  but they're worth something dosent matter the name crypto is crypto.

Gamer67 if you are not a banker or a whatever financial guy or an artist, i think you are completly wrong and maybe just a "stupid victim"

These crypto currencies finally are the way people can get rid of the global racket fiat currencies have been used for. It's not even hidden, bankers and politics are racketing people with it, more and more everyday.

If bitcoin is a blast in China it's because people there knows about it, maybe more than us. People know they are under control of the governement and it's racket if they use RMB
Any crypto currency is maybe worth more than RMB right now, if you intend to live free in China even some scam currency, much pre-mined

Look at the world and tell us USD, EUR,JPY, GBP and whatever have not been used to make some "smarter" people extremly rich?
Tell us all these "crap crypto currencies" does not deserve to exist more than these so incredibly well managed fiat currencies

+1

Gamer67, If you don't like it, I really don't understand why you take time to write a post about it... I understand Crypto is getting full of... well alt coins. Some are funny, some are not. Some will die, some will not but at the end we are the ones that "give" some meaning to them... It goes for all coins.

I am not bashing all crypto. I have no problem with people mining this coin just as I have no problem with people broadcasting their skid marks to the rest of the world. I just choose to steer clear of them. It was just my opinion that this has to be the worst idea for a coin yet. I feel that my hashing power would be of better use and more profitable elsewhere.

It is just my opinion though and everyone else is entitled to make their own.

I get it. I just don't see how it will be successful enough to achieve the goals that the OP has laid out. Wink

Doin' a pretty good job steering clear by posting on its forum. Cheesy Haters gonna hate.

Hey all!

Anyone interested in buying some GRDT? I'm not involved with the making of this coin, but I did hop on to get some after launch. I've got about 5k for sale, I would take BTC, LTC, DOGE, TIPS, CAT, or EAC!

I actually prefer to use reddit if you would PM me @ rageqqq (just because I check it more often) but I would definitely be willing to trade through this site. Escrows welcome.

Let me know!

I am selling 40.9 GRDT for 10k doge or 0.008 BTC (doge is cheaper because I would prefer that). Msg me on here, or on irc @ freenode (same nick).

I dont have the time to deal with multiple coins so I am getting out early.

How do you mine less than 40 solo? Or is your PROP ratio on a pool low due to low Khs? Are you on a notnull.org pool?

Hello,

I've setup a p2pool for GRDT (0% FEE, PPLNS etc - Testing at the moment).
Just point interested miners to:

94.177.121.13:12334

Keep in mind, it's still in tests but payouts should go well.
Feel free to try.
Will make some updates to it as soon as I can.

Here is a guide for p2pool force diff:

You can set the level of difficulty sent to your miner by appending a difficulty setting to your wallet address.
The following difficulty settings can be used as a guide:

Kh/s        Difficulty
1           +0.00000116
50          +0.000058
100         +0.000116
250         +0.00029
500         +0.00058
750         +0.00087
1000        +0.00116
1250        +0.00145
1500        +0.00174
1750        +0.00203
2000        +0.00232

To determine the difficulty for your specific hash rate multiply by 0.00000116
For example, if your miner is capable of 1440 Kh/s:

1440 * 0.00000116 = 0.0016704

Example Connection String for a miner capable of 1440 Kh/s:

cgminer -o http://94.177.121.13:12334 -u Gs5gQEWbCP8VBpTPmi9rXD9SQqpNySiFye+0.0016704 -p password --scrypt --queue 0 --scan-time 5 --expiry 10

NOTE: USE your address not the one posted above!

How many GRDT coin do you need to hold to be considered 'Rich'?

What's your definition of rich. They aren't really worth anything right now. If you do a comparison with other coins (which is probably not a fair comparison) I would say something like 1000 would be rich.

So, let's face the the trush - the coin is dying. I'm thinking about restart - the next one will have a block reward that will be
decrease - so the coin will be much more rare !  Smiley It's also will need an external "official" site - couse people want one place for sell/buy topics.

Possible new name - GRC (Get Rich Coin) - if anyone have suggestions - you are wellcome.

Yes, GRDT-network is working, the miners is mining. You can hold it. But my goal - to make holders of currency (including me) rich - can't be accomplished with GRDT  Sad
Coin without growing userbase will not be added to an exchange.  Angry

I can't see how this is going to be 100% mined in 6 months ?
Does something need to be tweaked to get the coins flowing out a bit quicker?

Specs
Algo: Scrypt
Max coins: 21 000 000
Block reward: 40 GRDT
Block target: 30 seconds
Difficulty retargets: every 20 blocks
All coins will be mined in ~ 6 months
Premine: 0.3%

I can't see how this is going to be 100% mined in 6 months ?
Does something need to be tweaked to get the coins flowing out a bit quicker?

Specs
Algo: Scrypt
Max coins: 21 000 000
Block reward: 40 GRDT
Block target: 30 seconds
Difficulty retargets: every 20 blocks
All coins will be mined in ~ 6 months
Premine: 0.3%

1 block = 40GRDT
60 minuts = 120 blocks
24 h = 2880 blocks
no subsidy dividing ever

21 000 000 GRDT / (2 880 blocks * 40 GRDT) = 182 days only.

How many GRDT coin do you need to hold to be considered 'Rich'?

I got the 'dead' bit figured out already, I think.

What's your definition of rich. They aren't really worth anything right now. If you do a comparison with other coins (which is probably not a fair comparison) I would say something like 1000 would be rich.

Thanks, it was a bit 'tongue in cheek', playing on the name of the coin.

I mean 'rich' in terms of the coin, rather compared to anything else  Cheesy

1000 sounds good, I am 66% of the way to getting rich rather than trying and dying
