Edit:     Live auction https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454882.0

Edit. These will be shipped from either texas usa or missouri usa. Not thailand, not china, not anything like that.

I have 12 units on the way from CoinTerra. They are 2/THs and are an early Jan order.

I understand they have no yet shipped and this thread has nothing to do with speculation about if they will or not.

This thread is to let people know that I will be willing to sell them as so as I do get them.

If you are interested please post in this thread or PM me. They will not go cheaply, I am more than happy to use them to mine.

I will accept bankwire, cash or BTC as payment. You do not need to pay until I have them in hand.

If we make a deal for the whole lot I might be able to have them shipped directly to you.

Thank you.

I guess I was thinking something in the $50k cash range for 3 miners - not enough though? Also how will you decide who get's the first miners assuming you sell them all?!

Incoming pointless post.

I am extremely envious that you've got 12x 2TH miners, whereas I've got nothing.

Ah well, at least I've got my looks, youth and brains. If you'd like to make a trade for any of these, feel free to make an offer Wink

Are you interested in exchanging them for HashFast units with MPP? (i would highly discourage this, but you could decide that it's worth it).

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

I'm sure I would get it there but I would rather mine than use paypal.
Might be worth getting someone to go a group buy shares on these. Have a look at the larger group buy organisers, I'm sure they'll have ideas who can host and raise the money. 24TH is quite a lot for us peasants with the fiat price where it is.

This should make $12k USD easy in the first month alone.

Not sure where you get this figure. If you don't get them for a month it will likely be almost half this.

I'd like to bid $15k each. I certainly don't want to lowball you, Goat, however $30k is an extremely high margin to overcome for me. That would mean, with Feb 1st mining start, break even in the middle of April, 1.5 months after a massive amount of petahashing has hit the network. It just wouldn't be profitable at that price point. If you're stuck at that amount, i certainly understand and respect that. However, if you are up for negotiation, i would be interested in purchasing several of these from you.

Sure thing. You can put me down for definitely 2 of them, possibly 3 (depending on the price). I can make a deposit or pay in full whenever we decide on the amount.

Thanks, and have a safe New Year's bud.

Seems like this will probably ship closer to the last week of January now based on when the December orders will ship (cointerra is saying mid January for the December units and they told me it'd probably take two weeks to get through them)

Link to where they say mud jan for dec?

Anyway i dont care if they are too late. I get more hardware if they are late.

I haven't seen it announced publicly yet, but that's what Ravi Iyengar told me on the phone.  Evidently he also told others (as my information is independent of the post above).
I will be very pleased if my own January orders arrive in late January!  I had been expecting second week of February for those.

While you may not care, it does dramatically affect the payback, depending on how many machines hit the wire meanwhile.

If you've been thinking about buying CoinTerra miners, you might want to also consider my bet (and its implications).

Of course, Goat's miners are January units... and thats a different ball of wax, and the much higher prices he's charging may well be justified.

I have not sold any of them. I also do not have them yet. I should get them in 2 weeks or less.

Once they are in hand I will update this thread and sell them.

I'm not sure of the price because we don't know the difficulty or the price of BTC.

Thx

Goat -

So by now we know the power draw for cointerra is around 2KW for 1.6TH (maybe 1.7).

ANTs would draw around 3.2KW for the same hashing power (8 ANTS), and cost 15.2 BTC today for 1.6TH.

At $800 coins that is a little over $12K to get the same power in ANTs today.  Are you still asking $30K?  Sorry just trying to judge the ballpark figures here!

KC is a pretty city (except for a small section). One of the best BBQ places I've ever been to is a place called 'Smokeys' in Overland Park.
I worked at an insurance company in Blue Springs, MO about 7-8 years ago. Though, I could never bring myself to move over to KC. I'd miss the Cardinals too much.

I might have a friend who is interested in paying cash for one of these.  Perhaps we can work something out, I just finished setting up 8 ants for our farm, which brings us to 16 ants total and I know he wants to about double that. Are you interested in accepting cash?

Edit: on a personal note, you say your close to BFL? Do you know black & veatch? They are my employer and I live just down the road from there.

Kansas City Area. Next to BFL  Wink

I might have a friend who is interested in paying cash for one of these.  Perhaps we can work something out, I just finished setting up 8 ants for our farm, which brings us to 16 ants total and I know he wants to about double that. Are you interested in accepting cash?

Yes, I will accept dirty fiat if I have to  Wink

Watching closely, Please let me know when they ship so that we can work out a deal.

Thanks!

You are selling the whole 2TH unit (fully paid no balance), or just the 20% deposit on each?

If you want to let one go for about $9k, PM me. The equivalent hash/sec of Antminer S1s are currently going for about $8500 including power supplies and shipping starting tomorrow...

They are supposedly shipping tomorrow... I would guess that they could be delayed till monday shipping. And yes my friend, it seems china is undercutting your hardware. They gotta be shipping around 500 th every two weeks now.

So I can order 10,000 units tomorrow? There has to be some delay other than shipping times.

Also anyone have any of these in hand or are they so far a vapor product?

I'm not trying to defend anyone that is pushing the Ant comparison as there is a number of factors to consider when comparing them to a Cointerra unit but look at the threads in goods with hundreds of pages of replies, yes they have been shipping, and are shipping by the hundreds each week. This is most likely one of the regular contributors to the ongoing increase in hashrate, and the earlier comments on price are correct.

I know in the US when I order I will receive in 3 business days, they are shipping right now from Bitmain

Guys drop it...  When you start comparing prices you forget the amount of power to run 1.6/1.7 TH/s of Ants you start to see the Cointerra price difference easily.  I'll have 14 Ant's up and running hopefully by the end of the week.  Doing this though I am having to install 2x 30amp 240V breakers and split the load between 2 PDU's.

I'd like 1 or 2 Cointerra's because honestly I can put them in our datacenter and not have to worry about anything.  I can't do that with my Ant's...  Millions in IBM equipment to demo to customer and random Antminers hanging in the racks would not go well LOL!

1.9 BTC would be $1330  and you need 9.5 of these to get the same hash as the CT so 9.5 x 1330 = $12,635  and it uses double power...

well i just sold two more for $12,000 thinking it was a good idea but maybe i sold it for not enough.

You realize it was the irony of it which is why I posted just the luck of advertisements but still cracked me up.

Personally if I would be doing the same as you.  I offered $10k for a unit maybe 2 and I said I could meet you in Austin since I maybe taking my Porsche there to get its motor back in.  The fact you aren't taking $10k that's fine.  You are selling them at $12k and people are buying them I support you 100% because I would be in the same boat...  Until about unit 6...  Then $14k per Wink

My Cointerra in our datacenter was PRO Cointerra...  The fact that Antminers vs CT for hashpower is that you save a little money but your energy bill gets shit on with the Ants.  I bought 10 more Ants because of all the BS with shipping I backed out of one of Platos pre-orders just because it wasn't certain.  A week later they are showing up.  Yes I am kicking myself because having to add more circuits to our shop because I could have had the CT unit(s) hosted for free LOL.

Im looking at CT website shop.

The May machines are $5900,

I think alot of people dont realize that by that time the machine will probably only make less than $700 in the first 2 weeks if they get it May 1.

eh... its all semantics until we see what the network hash rate and the price of bitcoin is in the next month. As is. Antminers are .55 gh/watt. Cointerra is .8gh/s. I have several antiminers and I am still adding. The energy usage is negligible as far as profitability goes.

I agree about the energy.  Figure 6-8 weeks usefullness then time to upgrade miners.

They have been shipping for the past 6 weeks in large amounts.  I have 9.  The next price drop later next week will be 1.25 Btc for 200 Gh/s (overclocked).  Delivery is always UPS Express Saver International.  Shipped on Monday arrives on Wednesday.
For those of us who did not order these big miners, it's the best deal going.
Two TH/s right now for $10,300.  Later in the week it will be $8,887.
I would pay a premium for getting 10 miner boxes down to 1 and the electric savings, as anyone would.  But not too much of a premium since these things stack three high and you can run three off a 1350w PSU.

The quick pricing adjustment discounts following the increase in network difficulty more than offsets the $7 a day in electricity savings.

Well it looks like I'm just going to be keeping these unless I get at least $11,000 for them. These will mine for months after the others are too pricey cuz of electricity.

I best call out the power guy I guess and run a bunch of 220!  Smiley

Good luck to you.

Thanks. The hardest part so far was telling the guys I need normal plugs for the 220. In the USA we use these crazy large plugs for 220 most of the time.

The hardest problem is getting an electrician to side step the NEC if you want to change things up like that.. A licensed electrician can lose his license for violations like the one you are asking him to commit.

I would imagine it's possible to get an adapter for those.  I have a friend who has something like 10 KNC miners in his house.  His problem is he literally has no more electricity.  When he tries to put the next one in it blows breakers.  Took him forever to balance the load so he could have 10.
For the amount of coin you are going to make with those you should rent space in a data center.  Depending on where you live you can get a cabinet with two 30 amp outlets (maybe more) for about $900 a month with electricity included.

Correct most power supplies accept 120-240.  Some have a little switch on the back and some are auto sensing.

Goat not sure if you are still putting a few in the house, but can't get an electrician do that swap...  But if you go to Home Depot and find the English speaking one of the group you can do it plus if the wife wants anything else done they have that covered to!  LOL!  Wink

Watch out here - they use 'crazy large plugs' for a reason - because running 30A at 240V needs higher gauge connectors and cables than normal US 110V 5A.  Watch you don't burn your house down!  I ended up paying over $600 for some quality power cables and splitters that ran on NEMA 6-20, well worth it.

testerx's December unit arrived today ..

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=461077.0

He's not happy with the initial performance parameters though ..

Triff ..

Ouch so he's only getting 1.2TH at the pool...

Lets do the ANTMINER Math again on this  -- 1.45BTC*6 = 8.7BTC cost for same hashing power in ANTS.  If we use the last MTGOX price of $575 that is basically $5K worth of ANTS to match a cointerra box... WOW - interesting.  I really wanted to bid on a goat box but it seems more and more likely by the time they arrive the only logical choice will just be to mine them out!

Now we all know today is a big lul in price due to all the exchange issues but still...
