Well there are so many projects going on in the space so most ico choose to do airdrops to that they will attract members in their social media page and telegram so that people will know about  their ico which could help them to sell out quickly.

Because in this way companies advertise their crypto currency. This is beneficial to those who give out, and those who receive free coins.

Hello everybody  Grin

I want to ask something, why every day even every time a lot of airdrop programs that appear? I do not know where they came from and how they came, suddenly appeared. thanks

I think most of these ICOs are doing it for different purpose,
1. some projects sold out in private sale so for them to build a community they airdrop part of the tokens
2. Some projects are doing it to scale the hurdle of the SEC, not to classify their tokens as securities
3. Some projects are doing it from scratch to have a fair distrivution on their tokens, and build a strong community with long term interest in the project

This is common due to dozens of ICO that is entering the cryptocurrency market. Promotion is one of the things that they want to render by having an airdrop. Those marketing staff want airdrop to have multiple access to social media.

In general, some coin drops might result worthwhile whereas gaining considerable revenue from freebies will turn into a mostly unrealistic effort for the best part of crypto fans.

I think airdrop and ico are not much different. the fact is the same as issuing new crypto to gain popularity and have great value after entering some exchanges. but every airdrop and ico has a mission vision that is certainly different from each other

Simply it's a cheap advertisement that attract tons of users from the poor countries. You can fill your Telegram group that way in 2 days, up to 50k users who will spam there and ask obvious questions with a weird hindish  Grin

You're right, airdrop has filled my telegram account now. I was so confused how to remove the group one by one. want to delete it but it seems important. lol, that's annoying moment  Grin Roll Eyes
I have participated in many airdrop groups on the telegram; I also feel uncomfortable because every day there are many messages appear on my phone. I think airdrop campaigns cannot force people to participate in their telegrams

because Airdrop means "marketing".. a lot of ppl go on an ICO channel as "flies" when they heard about free coins.. even if mostly are shitcoin.

Airdrop is one easy way to gain exposure. In exchange for simple tasks, you gain a small amount of tokens. The ico team gets what they wanted, you get rewards for the little time + effort put in.

Simply because it is their way also to promote their project and attract people of their Ico. However, we should only choose the best airdrops because some airdrops these dats isn't paying and some of them are just paying too small amount of their token which is non valued.

A lot of ICO there and most of them running an airdrop to i troduce the project to crypto community. Well airdrop is a best way to grab community to their telegram group and social account follower. However, doesnt mean all airdrop is good. Be choosy because not all has a good motivation. There are scam and not paying airdrop. Must pick airdrop in this forum not on telegram channel or twitter

I disagree that 99% of Airdrops are scams! There are MANY that are scams, but there are many that are not.  Many of the big players offered airdrops when first starting out as a way of exposure etc, i think it's just a case of DYOR.

I also agree that not all the airdrops are scam, but most of them really are scam, I have joined a lot of airdrops now and only few succeed, also some that those succeed before turned scam too but it a very rarely cases.

Airdrop programs become more popular as it gives you free chance to obtain a token, it also advertise the coin to gather a crowd of new investors.

Each ICO project has a bounty program
There are so many ICO project => There should be many airdrop programs.

Actually, they can create as many token as they want then use it to pay for airdrop/bounty. They lose nothing.
I dont care how many tokens they give away in the airdrop/bounty program. The most important thing is that these projects will success or not!

Airdrop has become very prevalent due to the fact that most ICOs are going private. if projects can raise all the capital they need through private groups or syndicates to execute projects then they can avoid the hassle of kyc in crowdsales and the unnecessary headaches of the the SEC. airdrops helps to create and keep the communinty engaged in their project

Because airdrops is a way to attract the potential clients and be the investors in the making. So airdrops is a gate to invite the visible profit from the group. Those who participated in airdrops, not of them are all simple person but some are something in this world. That's my thought.

Airdrop is the modern way of advertising, they airdrop so they would be advertised, It is much effective to do some airdrop for you project because it is the fastest way of getting participants and investors in your project. There are many airdrop programs obviously because they wan't to be known by some investors who will made their project a success.
