It's a genius marketing stragegy. By asking users to promote the product (by joining their Telegram, facebook, twitter,...), then reward them with a fair amount of tokens, everyone is happy.

Many scammer looking for new way earn much money by creating new project airdrop with donate system work to get airdrop token. Many airdrop was success collected more 100 ethereum balance and airdrop owner was run away with ethereum balance donate by airdrop participants. Last few day we have know some airdrop project have donate to received airdrop token and giving good promised listed on marcatox but airdrop was scam and owner was run away with 300 ethereum balance.

it is very logical if many airdrop programs are popping up ,, because the first airdrop program is followed by many people and short, the second token given is smaller then than that the company easily do ads on airdrop even though i think lots of airdrop are spam ,,

However, if you get some airdrop programs from telegram, mail, or other social media easily and so suddenly, don't take it too easily. You must learn and analyze theme whether they are real, true, and trusted or not. They may be legit and may be also scams.
