Small update for those interested in w/ but not following the main thread: we're almost done with the developer dashboard and we will be accepting developers soon.
After that, we'll incrementally roll out features of the platform and their respective docs.

If you'd like to show your support of w/, you can do that by visiting the site.
We check the number of hits daily and if we see a lot of people are interested, our morale goes up and we'll work harder!
Bumping threads is also a good way to show that you're interested of course!

You are putting all this work in to a payment platform for a coin that has no development support. "Invisbel" started this thread on 12/30, and I don't think has posted since.  On your site you say "We at w/ have been following Fedoracoin since very early in the development processes."  If you have been following from the beginning, and you're engaged in a 3rd party app development for the coin-- it seems to me that you either know the developer, have the ability to contact the developer or maybe YOU ARE the developer.

I'm excited about working with this coin but it feels like a runaway train right now.

Invisibel is still around he's been busy as of late, but I can tell you he has not abandoned TIPS.

would be nice if you could put the url correctly.

Fixed for you.

I've personally spoken to him a lot over IRC, but I wouldn't say I know him.
We all have the ability to contact the developer - his email address is all around.

Very nice to see the coin increase ~300% today on Coinedup. Running 221Mh at the Fedora TIPS pool on fed.notnull.org, PROP vardiff, longest running TIPS pool out there (i think)

I have emailed him, I didn't get a shout back.  But no matter. I just wanted to confirm that TIPS had a heartbeat.

The bottom line is that this coin has some potential and it clearly has great support around here. Some people, like myself, actually purchased TIPS and I'd like to see it work out. I'm relieved to hear that there's active development behind this coin.  Any sense that tech support is gone will kill the price-- I think we've seen that.

Which is why we all need to stay calm for a bit Smiley.

(partly a reply to the other thread where you asked if we were planning on releasing client versions)

The edit we made to Fedoracoin was not interesting for end-users, just for people running services.
If it ever comes to that, we'd be prepared to release new versions of the client, but I don't see a need for that at this moment.

Everything is fine for now, but be assured that there are developers enough that care about this coin to help out when needed.

I have not been able to hear back from the guy in charge here in regards to the Logo Contest. He extended the contest to the 5th upon my request because I had a National Award Winning Aviation Artist (Same guy that did the Netcoin Logo) that wanted to submit his work even though he no longer enters contests.

I need someone that knows the person in charge in order to get the first samples to him to choose from or combine or critique. Can someone that knows this guy send me their email address in a private message so that I can send you these coin logo samples to get to him? My email is the same as my username here on Bitcointalk just add @gmail.com to the end of it.

Here are the links below to view the samples. Hopefully one will work at least. (New at this;-)

Any help would be great!!!

BTW- I was able to get TIPS onto a dice game http://tips.altdice.net (tips.altdice.net)

This is a great coin so don't give up on it. I think having a World famous artist doing the logo should get people talking about it and hopefully more people getting behind it.

That is amazing news, I'm glad your work has paid off. I will definitely be sending some TIPS your way Smiley

For those that were willing to bounty up for an app I will get back with my findings after a couple days of transactions.

Will be installing momentarily, will be back with prelim findings
UPDATE - it is working, currently using it to settle bets with a friend. Check the thread above, get the app lets test it out.
[/quote]

Newest Update - After 24 hour trial period - I am very impressed for someone who is new to developing. Have not had an issue so far and every transaction makes me feel safer about using the app. I greatly urge all those who where willing to bounty up to send their TIPs to the dev of this android app.

We need Invisibel to become visibel before this coin fades away into the alt-coin graveyard forever.  I still believe it has huge potential and it would be a shame not to harness all this support.

So it has been a couple days and still no word from invisible, has anyone heard from this guy? Like w/ Fedoracoin says you can contact him but he never responds, never posts about fedoracoin, does he still have any plans for this coin at all past the payment system? Just a payment system is not going to save this coin from hitting the bottom.

Without some real news about the coin itself, not the payment system, or some word from the dev, I can say fairly confidently that any rice in prices will only be met with huge dumps from the worried holders, I hope it isnt the case but just hope we can get some news.

He'll check in at some point.  I'm not sure that it matters-- others have said they would provide technical support.

I think the biggest thing is promotion.  We should spread the good word about TIPS on social media. I started a twitter account and have been dropping tweets daily. We probably need a Facebook page.  I also think the TIPS website could be cleaned up, but that's a lower priority(and we have no way to update it!)

There will be a bump in price when TIPS gets onto another exchange.  Coinedup doesn't get enough traffic. Cryptsy is key.
