What if you guys set up a multipool miner service where one could mine and have an extra donation tab in the account settings -where one could also donate a percentage of any coins mined to a receiver address of their choosing?
Let's say you owe someone fifty bucks that you can't pay off immediately. But you promise to mine until the debt is paid!

Cheers!

Multipool.us is removing us from their multiport!

Yes!!!

You heard right!

Adam, the admin at multipool.us, has agreed to remove TiPS from multiport mining. Adam and multipool.us helped us out during the KGW crisis (when difficulty was so large, it took hours to mine a block) and now they are helping us out by removing us from multiport.

This means selling pressure will be released from the market and the price of this coin can finally breathe! Give Adam a thanks by sending an email to admin@multipool.us. I know he would appreciate it.
Get the word out!

Can't load wallet up. Anyone else having problems?

I get a window pop-up: "System error - unknown database error."

I've got backups but how exactly should I tackle this.

Do I try to completely erase the wallet, reinstall it and just load up my backup wallet?

I've been mining for a few days. Will an old backup still be able to compute the coin I've mined that hasn't been stored in a backup?

Thanks in advance

first backup your wallet.dat from appdata folder then delete everything except wallet.dat dan fedoracoin.conf if available.
after that try to restart your fedoracoin-qt.

There are no coins or transactions stored in wallet.dat
You can create a new wallet, make a backup of wallet.dat and just forget it. After years of mining and doing transactions you can restore all those things just by using the file from day 1. This is because the wallet only contains the private key that proofs your ownership of different events saved in the blockchain (like transactions and found blocks).

In your case, I would

1) close wallet
2) backup wallet.dat
3) remove everything BUT wallet.dat within the folder you've found wallet.dat
4) start wallet and wait until all is synced

Don't use this thread anymore! There's a new one:

and they nailed it: the winner is reddcoin

told you some time ago to reduce the total number of coins, only way to push the price up. reddcoin from 2 to 7 in less than 24 hrs, after they reduced the total amount from 110 B to only 30B

Cmon don't let TIPS die.

Any news? Any new planed feature?

I realy invested a lot in TIPS and i don't want to be forced selling all my Tips (serveral millions) @ 6 latoshi.

If there is the tip of the community with lowering max. coin amount, and it worked for other coins, maybe its smart doing the same for Fedoracoins again.

What plans do you have for this coin?

Right now we are working on some main ideas, mostly around make Fedoracoin use grow big !

We are trying to use http://worldof.tips as a proof of work for encouraging people to use the http://pay.withfedoraco.in/ payment gateway. We have also developped a simple scrypt for people to accept TiPS as a donation.

You will see all the news on our subreddit or on the new thread (see on my signature for the address).

See you soon hopefully
