Let's take Asia by storm with the Maneki-Neko (Lucky Cat), very appropriate as he is already holding a coin and represents wealth and is UBER popular in Japan and in China. Chinese New Year is coming very soon and this would be perfect, since China cannot currently buy bitcoin with financial institutions, alternate cryptos are essential for the east; China has many miners and trading Kitteh for Bitcoin would be ideal for them and increase popularity exponentially!!

this design is worth serious consideration.  The icon already has worldwide significance and recognition of good fortune and riches.  it would be dynamite to tie traditional symbolism for wealth with kittehcoin.

The first logo I posted used one of my own photos; which I was willing to submit for use with only the restriction it wasn't sold; which I think is Creative Commons Attribution non-Commercial. i.e. the logo isn't 'sold' as part of the coin, it just represents it; so it wouldn't be a commercial use, but trying to sell the photo directly would be. Hopefully that makes sense.

The border was produced by another member; so the restrictions on that copyright would be up to them.

The second used a photo submitted by another user; so I can't vouch for the copyright.

These are great guys! Amazing work! The KittehCoin community recognizes everyone for their hard work, all finalists will get a lil something. I didn't want to state that upfront because then we'd get crappy logos just for free coins. But everyone who has contributed a legit logo that clearly took effort to put together will be getting a "thank you" after the contest ends. More info at that time  .

Thanks! Currency symbol? I can add pawprints on gold coin, but I'm doubt that it will improve current concept.

Here is my attempt. I put in a simple version as well that may be more like what a baby kitten would use. The image of the kitten is from creative commons wiki so it is completely free to use, and I also verified that the font is ok to use. The rest I made.

Rubbish. Where you want to use this logo? It's obvious that it's new coin. Ripples, MasterCoin, MegaCoin, WorldCoin, DataCoin, DigitalCoin and etc. so many coins doesn't use actual coin look.

You're not in charge of this thread, nor the dev/admin of the Kittehcoin, nor are you funding the prize money.

So what gives you the right to re-short-list the final logo's (http://kittehcoin.info/forums/index.php/topic,7.0.html) and conveniently leave out the competition and then call it the "official vote"?

Your actions are not the best for the Kittehcoin community who have invested a lot into it.

It is also very suspicious that you only registered this account on 1 January 2014, but want to run the show already.

It is easy to see that the linked thread is submitted by Danosphere(Memeber of dev team and administrator of the forum.)
Am I missing something here? I'm simply just spreading the word in order to catch some attention.
