Pools are running smoothly; and absolutely no problems with the coin thus far!

It's looking to become the best launch in a LOOOONG time.

Can we do predictions on the value of the coin vs LTC and BTC already? Who dares to give a shot!

1 42 = 10 btc

With that price all the FortyTwo miners will vanish in 1.0E-8 seconds.

you can't expect a better start price, we can rise from that, but not at the launch

Wrong, even the worst shitty coins hit its first exchange with 10 times that price. Nobody mines for less than 10 or 15 milibits/MH/day.

10/15 M satoshi is way to high for a mere 1 mh/s

What would you consider fair price for 0.0001 42 coin, in BTC, (taking into account Miners hard work and diligence to make this a fair launch) ?

Just curious to get some sort of baseline price, I know its mostly speculation now  Smiley

Thanks! S.

500k satoshi for every 500kh/s is about right imho so 10k 42 should be about in the range 100k-1M satoshi

So to be clear, what would be ball park price in BTC or $ for 0.0001  42coin, accorsing to the Satoshi range?

Thanks foks,
Stew

Any chance the pools can update MPOS to show the correct balances?

What do you mean? Balances are shown correctly, 5e-8 is perfect legit math Smiley Keep in mind that 0,00004200 per block is shared between all.  So calculate how much hashpower you need to make 0,00000001 per block.

Solo mining would be pain... Pool ofc.

coins generated in first block can't be spent.
nope - I investigated for a while and I find out that this 0.42 is transmitted from adress to adress every block.

It splits here into two pieces:

Well I know he's been giving some away.  I got some yesterday. Smiley

However, he did leave that little tidbit out in the announcement.

If I wanted to be REALLY nitpicky I could say that he actually lied about it because it says "The first 419 blocks will be 0.00000010" when in fact the first block is 0.42 and 2-419 are .00000010.

Jus' sayin'.

And here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=399658.msg4360378#msg4360378

I did post on the first page of the thread that its a possibility. I have mined a total of about 15 blocks solo on 7mh/s since launch. It is very hard to promote a coin with nothing to giveaway. Some went to get the site designed. Some went to push media promotions. Some has gone and will continue to go to the giveaway, and eventually I will have a faucet set up to give out coins.

The money to promote has to come from somewhere.

Also, If I was trying to hide it, I could have just deleted that part from the source code after mining the block. I didn't, it is there for all to see.

I wrestled with the idea of doing any kind of premine. I was quite vocal about that in this thread.

it might be smart to use smth like "[42]" as a currency sign. Or a different font maybe
