I was still seeing syncing issues so I started over. lol

I went back to the worldcoin source and made the same modifications and am creating a new genesis block.

This should fix any and all issues.

I tend to start over alot on projects because they are not perfect. :p

So back on track. Currently generating the main net genesis block which will take upward of a half hour or longer. Once that is done its complete. (Again)  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Few questions:

1. Is there going to be a premine? If so, please add that info to the front page so people can accuse you of hiding it.

2. Are you planning on launching with a pool? Personally, I prefer no pools at launch to allow people some solomining and to prevent forks.

3. Have you decided to keep the first 240 blocks as 0 reward or 0.000001  ?

Thanks

Um, I think all of your questions are answered in this thread.  Did you take the time to read it?

Sorry I took so long, I've been busy working on 42 and the new site.

1. Is there going to be a premine? If so, please add that info to the front page so people can accuse you of hiding it.
I have not decided yet. I have been taking everyone's opinion's in this thread into consideration. If I do put in a premine block it will be under 1%. It is not for my personal gain. I will use it to promote 42 by hosting giveaways and contests. I'm also working on a faucet that I will code from scratch in python. Smiley

2. Are you planning on launching with a pool? Personally, I prefer no pools at launch to allow people some solomining and to prevent forks.
I have been contacted by 2 pool owners, I will give one of them the chance to be the first pool. The first one to contact me tomorrow wins that spot. If I premine any, they will also get a bounty for being the first pool Smiley I would insist on just solo mining to begin with but I don't want to leave anyone with low hash power out of the early mining profits.

3. Have you decided to keep the first 240 blocks as 0 reward or 0.000001  ?
It will be 0.000001 so miners can be sure they have everything set up correctly before the gravy blocks show up.

You might be able to define me as undefined behavior. lol

Its the nutjobs that make real progress. The ones crazy enough to do things that other sane individuals won't do.

Nikola Tesla was absolutely nutters compared to anybody at that time but he was 100 years ahead of everyone else technology wise.

If anyone has any suggestions while I'm under the hood now is the time to let me know. lol
What if the wallet/daemon accepted only one solved block per connection per 120 seconds or so? Or would that make operating a pool impossible.. was just thinking it might make big farms hoarding all the blocks in the beginning a bit more difficult. Maybe the limitation could be operational only during the first lets say 2000 blocks and after that pools would work just fine?

I think its possible but not in this release.

Also, yea it would be a bit of a problem for pools. I would have to put out 2 different wallets one for solo mining and one for the pools to use, and then if one of the pools leaked the source, well there goes the neighborhood. lol

Its a good thought, it might be a good idea to put in a future coin that only allows solo mining. The only other problem is that someone could just remove the restrictions in the source and mine freely.

Pre-reg signups are going nice. Set your workers up and add them to your CGminer config file! Once the stratum is up; they will start hashing automatically on this coin!

I stay awake; so that you guys won't have to! Release is set for 1AM european time; and I'm determined to have the pool up as soon as the github source is released Smiley

Bumping the thread; as this coin seriously needs attention Smiley

http://42.pooljunkie.nl takes pre-regs. If you configure your workers and add them to your cgminer config; they will start hashing as soon as the stratum is up! Easy-peasy. I stay awake for europe; while the rest is sleeping Smiley
