I've never mined solo, always used a pool.

Can I just click on the mining tab in the wallet and hit start mining or do I need to use cgminer? if so, what settings would I need?

Thanks!

Swifty - the auto payout field on happyminers seems to be limited to 3 characters - can this be changed?

Anyone else have the feeling we are going to get screwed by the pools?

Who has GPU mining instructions for cgminer?

You guys killed my Github o.0

i can provide source and precompiled clients for a fee $$$$$

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I must say, really nice launch, even tho, we will be waiting for another few hours to get some real coins out of block rewards.  Grin

Still 0 unconfirmed on pooljunkie.

it's 120 confirmation rounds; and chances are you have little shares to account for on the current block rewards. it's going to be higher from block 420 onwards.

Trust me; the pool functions and i'm the last one to steal your coins. check the other pool http://rpc.pooljunkie.nl for the numbers of workers and the hashrate on the pool. If I withheld you your coins; would they be hashing there? Smiley

check the getting started page on the pools; its basically the same for your solo mining; use the user and pass set in the config file and use the right port Smiley

Swifty, is happyminers configured correctly in terms of the rewards and share amounts?

Kanus - to gpu mine solo (if you're feeling very lucky!):

Copy 42.conf into the C:\Users\{current user}\AppData\Roaming\42 folder
Restart your wallet
Edit your cgminer bat file to:
cgminer http://127.0.0.1:4242 -u user -p password
Save & run

I just updated the links on the front page. They are zip files with no password protection. Much easier to load the source to a linux box in a zip file.

Nice job Hendo!

This is what I proposed for new coins, either that, or very high diff so it takes some time for first block to appear.

1788 coins per day for that number 1 hasher? Looks like a reward misconfig. nothing serious; just a paramter in the config file.
