because i'm big fan of 42 coin and personally i think it will compete with bitcoin one day , i want to help it rise and reach its place next to Btc and Ltc , i think it will be the next big thing in crypto world if the community give it the attention and start spread it across the world , so i made this logo design with a slogan and im ready to start a media campaign by designing and compose trailer and some Propaganda videos, let the criticism begins Grin.

note : i will provide my psd design if i won the Logo Design Contest , so let me know guys if you like it Wink

I think the contest is over, but I could be wrong:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=399658.msg4367304#msg4367304

i really dont care about the contest and prize as much as i wanted to make a proper logo design for this coin to help the devs hendo and maco make 42 look better , i hope they adopt my design if they like it , and i can also make the same design for the wallet-qt launcher splash .

You're right. Prize doesn't matter. This coin really deserve more attention.
BTW - your logo is well refined! I like it ^^

If I backed up the old wallet, does the new wallet automatically recognize the backup file?

Dont want to lose my 6500 dents obtained from 36 hours of mining. Also, will installing the new wallet genreate a new adress/i lose theold adress?

thanks

Your wallet.dat is stored in your appdata/42 folder. It contains your private keys. As long as that is intact. Any version of 42 I put out will not wipe your wallet. It will be fully intact. It never hurts to back it up tho.  Wink

Also yes, any 42 backup wallet will load into the 42 wallet no matter what version.

the fact that it is only 42 coins makes it quite alluring, I am quite addicted to it, like when some people get stamps or collect baseball cards etc, for me I am starting to enjoying collecting 42 coin Smiley

This all the way. I don't know why, I just can't stop mining you...42  Shocked Grin

Anyone a clue if we're forking?

I have a pool user who claims that his money has not arrived (stolen).

I see a manual tx in MPOS; and TX http://altexplorer.net/tx/0eb35f3fefc353e5d7808c7594402e56bc0b74667fd46ad5badb8e954a26590f

The user claims not to have done anything in the system and he uses a pass that is '3800 years brute force safe'

someone is changing your address at http://42.pooljunkie.nl/, already two transiction confirmed for another address on my account

this pool is a big scam

after being scammed two time i don't anymore about this, i'm selling the only amount gained, 0.00001461.

I'm sorry to hear this. I can only say to use incredibly strong passwords and auto pay as often as possible to a cold wallet.

Also; EMAIL SUPPORT WHEN YOU HAVE IT HAPPENED!

I have absolute no reason to steal coins from anyone; and am not doing this...

This!

Had the same thing. Operator of the pool basicly told me that it was my own fault and was unwilling to investigate possible server breaches.
To set things straight: My username is anonymous, password is extremely strong(3700 year bruteforce) and my pin is random.
So it happened only on this pools. No other pools, so it would be very odd if someone is keylogging me.

i can rent this1

No; I did not say this to you. If you accuse someone, please do it with the exact words. I just questioned why you'd leave funds in the system for this long; even though a lot of users tried warning that multiple pools have had attempts to break into users accounts.

Please explain to me WHY and HOW I can trigger a manual payment from you without knowing anything from you. You've hashed with 200khs into the pool (you told me).

I need to know your password AND pincode to even ACCESS your account. MPOS (the system) DOESNT ALLOW ADMINS TO EDIT ACCOUNTS FOR THIS VERY REASON. Your pass and pin are stored ENCRYPTED into the database.

Now: when a server is breached; WHY would someone steal JUST the funds of a FEW people; and not clean the entire wallet? Additionally; WHY would they take the time to STORE THE TRANSACTION INTO THE FRONTEND DATABASE that is protected by not one but 2 encrypted passwords Huh??

Anyhow; we're working on 2FA with GA to make this issue impossible to ever occur

Amph; do you like me to list your transaction history for you to comment on before making an accusation?

I see multiple payouts to you on 2 addresses ONLY; and totaling to a LOT more than the money you say you've earned. Funniest is that the first address is the same as the last one. Both AP and MP transactions.

Yes; that is being worked on as we speak. Will need a few days to complete and needs decent testing.

Again; if a hacker would be active; would they leave a trace; and why would they bother with only your account instead of cleaning the entire wallet?

Additionally; we as pool ops do not have access to the user section / editing whatsoever of the user accounts.
