I'm solo mining for only about 30 minutes and I've found 2 blocks but both were rejected.  Is a high number of rejects normal for solo mining?  This is my first attempt at soloing.

I haven't tried the newer cgminers soloming but they used to just show accepted if a block was found. I don't remember rejects. lol

Ofcourse they screwed cgminer up a bit in that I notice when mining on a pool that it shows Found block when in fact you have only submitted an accepted share. lol

I would like to give my congratulations on one of the fairest and most transparent coin launches
I have yet witnessed.

Also, I want to give my hats of to all the miners who sold and negotiated at very fair prices,
and are making this one of the best early adopter coins ever for an investor like myself.

Final kudos to kendo and maco for doing this coin the right way. Their responses and attention to all our concerns in this thread is a text book example of how an alt coin should be begin.

Queue : 0 workunits/ items in queue
Scantime : 10 second scans for new blocks
Expiry : 20 seconds before wu/ items expire

If this doesn't help, you may need to lower the gpu's intensity and/or overclock.

edit

Congrats !

It is showing me: Accepted xxxx diff xx/xx gpu 0 pool 1.
Is this supposed to be happening? Never happened before.

I would also like to donate toward this giveaway if it happens. If it helps bring more attention to the coin I'm in. I have .00025 42 that i'm willing to give toward the giveaway.

Stewart,

Thank you for being an invested supporter of 42 coin. I see a tremendous benefit of having someone like yourself supporting 42.  We need more people like you, and by the looks of this community thus far, we have one of the most quality supporters to date! Everyone that has made a post in this thread, I want to thank you for being very supportive and contributing to the cause and growth of 42.  That is exactly our goal, exactly what Stewart said... Fair Launch!  We gave 99% of the opportunity to Miners, Investors, and Supporters...

So Congrats to everyone! You just became apart of something unique in the crypto industry... This is a Movement, and we can show the crypto community its not all High and Mighty with Pump and Dumps, and all about Pre-mine to get into an exchange so people can dump into it for quick-cash-profits.  42 is a community, a commodity, a network.  The developers will rise only if you rise first. So we ask you, the community.. continue spreading the word of 42 coin, and let's take this to the next level.

Hendo and I have decided to allow Supporters, Miners, and Investors to work with us in helping us with the growth of 42 coin. If you have talent in a specific area (networking, mining power, developments, promoting/marketing, etc.) give Hendo or myself a private message so we can setup a meeting on Skype for further discussions about growing this together.

Thanks again Stewart, and everyone else for being apart of this revolutionary movement of 42 coin. Spread the word and Stay Strong!

It would be unimaginable to even mine close to 'one coin' since there will only be 42 coins to mine in total. That is why it is super rare.. however, in terms of satoshi validation, even if you exchange 0.00001 you are holding a pretty good amount of value due to only 42 coins will be mined total when we are all set and done.
