Is there some explanation I am missing?  Are we on a hybrid PoS/PoW?
+1

I gather I am not the only one who has seen this surprise.
(my data drive just failed.  My backup wallet allows me to save my balances, but does not show the "Mined" thing anymore) Next time: Hitachi not Seagate.

Dev didn't notify pools of fork.

Many pools are forked.

Which chain is the correct chain?  Please let us know becaues there are like 3-4 forks and chains of 42 coin right now.

I run 42.hashfaster.com and we too are in the dark, we are on the latest wallet.

Can others please verify the block hashes to determine what fork we are all on?

HASHFASTER IS ON FORK:

getblockhash 56445

Looks like 42.hashfaster.com and 42.forkpool.com are on the same fork and highest block count.

The only other working pool I could find is http://42.coinpool.de/ and they are nearly 1000 blocks behind.

42.coinpool.de have 20000% round. its not good. Something wrong with it too.  Embarrassed
I don't know that can i do now. I think better do not mine now and need to wait response from dev.

they might be on the right fork too, but they obviously have a stuck cronjob causing that high round percentage.

The Dev published in big red letters for everyone to update before block 55,000. Maybe not the most efficient way but I don't think that there is an email list for pools admins in this case. Maybe we can suggest the creation of one.

Most pools dont regularly check ANN threads for fork announcements, especially on a coin that hasn't been in the spotlight for a while.

The dev really NEEDS to put effort into contact pools (most pools have contact forms) when things like hardforks are coming.  Its been done by other coins in the past.

We are happy to announce the addition of 42 coin to our list of mining pools:

42.coinpoolpros.com

- Proportional payout per block based on worker's share ratio to the total shares for each block.
- 2% of the block is rewarded to the miner that 'finds' the block

It's interesting to setup a pool when the coin's forked and no one knows what is the correct chain
