Hitbtc death?

I think they are still working, but the only problem is that their support unit is fucked up. They barely answer to questions,  issues or help out in  those whom are sucked. They seems to fomerly be a good exchange but its now as if they abandon their users to themselves. Most users get their stuck up for days even to months. And because of this, most people term them as scammers.

After a few days of scare, and 502 errors, it looks like they are up and running again. And as per coinmarketcap, they are still in the top 10 so I'm sure that they will not run a exit scam strategy. Yes, I agree with you support sucks although I'm one of the lucky one who haven't had any issues on them yet but the fee's is somewhat killing me an it took like 3 weeks to a month before I can get my funds without the support letting me know what's keeping them from sending my money. Tickets after tickets with no answer, that's why I already move my funds out and relieve myself of headaches in the future.

Just to give you a heads up guys, I just moved out my almost 2 ETH out of HitBTC and a got a warning that there might be delays and it might take as long as 1 month to get my funds. They are citing issues on their side and ETH network as well. But knowing that ETH network is not that clogged as much as Bitcoin, I click Yes and in matter of minutes I got my ETH on my wallet. So its all good and I'm happy that I was able to get out now.

What makes me nervous though is that I have some of my tokens in that exchanges which valued around $1K.  And with all the accusations, (it could be more), I need to be careful and make decisions to get out while I still can.

There has been scam accusation against this exchange platform right from the onset, and that makes me wonder if people just do not read reviews or they just like looking to add to their fleet of problems. This is a decentralized world and there are just some exchanges that one should be avoiding like plague and this is one of them.

No support, do not even know if devs are active except for their daylight robbery activities, and all these are enough for anyone to know they just cannot end up in a better position in the long run with an exchange like this.

It's true the support is terrible but frankly, how many exchanges have good support? I got my questions answered almost 60 days after the request is sent - and for some of them I never get any answer. I personally spread my tokens across 6 exchanges to mitigate any such risk.

Hitbtc lose popularity because they have very high price of the transaction. When I bought 25000 OCN tokens I lose 5000 coins on the comission. I didn't prefer use this exchange. They should do rebrending

Im still using HitBTC even there are lots (and lots) of complaints already but hey I know the risks. I have some coins currently playing there and never experienced any major problems in my years of using them. But take note for newbies out there that don't take this as assurance that HitBTC is still a good exchange. With lots of complaints already as everyone mentioned, it's obvious that as a new user, don't consider using this exchange unless people know the risks.

Not with the response support, not with the delays of deposits and withdrawals, but my concern here is same as yours. They really have a high charge of fees in terms of commission. Most of my new coins added to my portfolio are only available at HitBTC (aside from dex) so no choice but to deal with them. Just don't ever attempt to withdraw altcoins there to save fees unless it's fine for a trader.

In most cases all exchanges are equally as bad, but the main factor is also the nature of your complaint and what balance you are holding there. It shouldn't matter in a perfect world, but exchanges do filter based on that.

The lower the reply to reward ratio is of your complaint, the longer it will take to get a response from them. Some exchanges are worse than others in that aspect, but the fact is that it shouldn't happen.

I must however add that tokens are a plague to this ecosystem with all their problems. The majority of the complaints have to do with tokens, which says enough for me. The situation will only improve when the ICO hype ends.

Hitbtc is first exchange im trading on, so far its been nearly year, didnt had a single problem, except chat being banned for nearly anything you type in.

Seriously, unless you have any proof, don't panic like that.

What proof is needed again here ? The fact that they have no support, the fact that they have screwed some users over time, or the fact they are just full of shit. A lot of people will be surprised at how things end up turning out with the likes of this exchange as well as the likes of Yobit. For heaven sake, using an exchange generally is risky since they are centralized, but now using a shitty exchange is like seeing a trying to play with a viper's tail.

Last week, I did two trades on hitbtc for the first time. But never again. This is because:
- Withdraw fees are unreasonably high;
- You can only trade with silly multiple for selected pairs. I have leftovers in my account which I will never be able to retrieve!

In many threads there has been advised to avoid such exchange. I do confirm that.

Yes, I think for USDT withdrawals, its about $100, which is so high assuming that you are going to withdraw less than amount. As I have said before, I already withdrawal most of my funds and everything went smooth. However, let me just warn newbies, as to be very careful not just HitBTC for that matter, but all other exchanges. This is just part of the process, if you don't trust the exchanges then get out.

Hmmm. weird error because I just access it now and seems everything is working. Although I don't used FF because its too slow. Maybe you have to check everything, you might get phished, so be careful.

They are not, but I would be curious to know where they operate also, it will give us relief. SO whenever they try to run, they could easily be found and prosecute, I hope regulations come and force them to comply, they need to prove they are trusted platform/exchange if they want to last. After all they are one of the top 10, whose profits from trading is raking nice figures.

I haven't use hitbtc due to various scam accusations even before and complains that I've read.

Not only one person is complaining about them but there's a bunch of it so those testimonies were enough to stay away from them.

I haven't exactly traded on hitbtc due to the many accusations levelled against them. I believe if they solve their many issues ,it should be a good exchanger.

If all of these accusations are there and you are still waiting till when you will make a decision by putting a timeline to it when the site itself won't notify you or anyone that have experience the other side of their action of any impending danger. I also saw the accusation at the time I was about to make some deposit of a token. Immediately, that decision was reversed and since then till this time, out path have never cross which won't happen until things have change for the better.

panic, FUD, and false accusation are some of the big reason why we are having the bear market.
this is not healthy to cryptocurrency community.
