Yes, two or three times now with no reply. He was online earlier and also posted yesterday in QQcoin thread.

Seems like we're stalking him now but the least he can do is just keep us updated...

sometimes the community has to come together and help..

i love all alt coins so lets brain storm.

list some positive points about this coin.

i know for sure that is has high coin reward. this means we can do giveaways for now with 1000k coins. this is a number a lot people like.

we can also do a huge giveaway. like a 5 million donation and give 100k each. we'll ask for them to do a small task

we need a new angle. stay away from grumpycat or disney grumpy.

we will need a dev to take over the code. i think templar bought this coin at coingen. this mean this coin has old coded and will have tons of problems. we will need a good dev to save us.

Count me in - I am willing to do what it takes to make this work.

Giveaways are no problem - and donations to worthwhile sources/charities make sense.

Mac wallet created by one of the members here and is nearly ready to go.

We just need to keep the blocks moving!

I've set up a forum - come over and have a chat if you fancy helping us?

UPDATE

**Grumpycoin is experiencing technical difficulties at the moment**

You will be unable to sync the wallet client to the blockchain.
Also mining is halted until a solution can be implemented.

Stay tuned to this forum thread as updates will be posted as soon as they become available.

Also if by chance anyone knows the Grumpy dev or happens to run into him, please let him know his child GRUMPY has run away from home and is officially lost!  Cry

Hi, first of all forgive me for my absence this last week. I was very busy at work, but I'll be making a lot of changes this week.
There is a lot to do, so next days I'll try to work as hard as I can to make all the things are needed.

I'm already working in a client update to include seednode and allow USE_UPNP so improve network's connectivity.

I'm also considering changin Diff retarget, since that's a major change you all will need to upgrade asap, so let me know if you think it is a good idea.

Please remember any contributions will be rewarded. Smiley

Good idea. Can you implement Kimotos Gravity? It seems that It works very well with other coins.

Great to hear there is some progress and changes coming Smiley

Kimoto's Gravity Well is what we need. If you could implement it into GRUMPY then it would be great. Diff retarget is very important thing and if we really want this coin to get more value, more hashpower and more people interested in it - we need to find a good solution to diff retarget.

EDIT: I noticed that very often pool hashrate (mining at gpc.broken-arrow.pl) is higher than net hashrate, which obviously is not possible. Now for example pool hashrate is ~ 35 MH/s and net hashrate is only ~ 11 MH/s.

Yes, sometimes it can happend because nethashrate is taking from daemon, pool hashrate is counted from DB data so can be some differences, but not so huge. I'm not sure why is like that. I can make some investigation and checks if you want. I can add also links to wallets, sources, homesite, forums at pool website. If we will have new sources, please PM me or better mail me at: baminingpools_AT_gmail.com i will upgrade pool daemon.

Maybe it needs more time for net hashrate to update and pool hashrate updates "online". Now it is better: 26.38 MH/s pool and 19.08 net.
