If we keep this coin in the dark, there will be no interest in Grumpy Coin. And keeping a lot of worthless coins will not make any of us any richer...

I agree. There is a lot of work to do. Block explorer, better social networks like FB, G+ etc with updated informations what is going on. Maybe dedicated forum for GPC. I do not think that name is so important. Maybe better logo for coin, something simpler, like this one:

As for the popularity of the coin..

There are only 12 people hashing Grumpy with > 100 KH/s and only 6 people hashing with > 1 MH/s. That is really poor result and it will get only worst when te block reward halves (stats from the only pool for Grumpy).

I would really like the reality to look different but it seems that this coin is dead already. Or am I missing something?

Templar, have you given thought to trying to get the coin approved by Grumpy Cat's 'people'?? If we were to get them on board, tweeting and promoting, it could really help with the popularity of the coin. Grumpycoin has real potential if we are able to use the Grumpy Cat likeness and images officially. If not, we may be better off doing a coin makeover and changing the name.

I see the same names here posting to try and get the ball rolling. It is US that will make the coin successful - look at other recent coins, all have a massive supportive community.

You want a team, we are all willing to help to make it work whatever it takes. We have one of us that nearly finished compiling a Mac Wallet - any acknowledgement from you Templar? Nothing whatsoever. I have setup a GPC forum (Come and join us at http://gpc1.freeforums.org/ if you want a chat) and have registered a domain to match, still no acknowledgement.

You should be posting here everyday. Look at TIPS, the devs are on the IRC channel daily and if you ask a question on here, they reply ASAP. We have to wait days for anything.

I'm not having a go - just saying If you are busy and need help, we are more than willing.

Oh and regarding the pool - I wonder who Evoked is - some real hashing power there

Another idea: when new pool will be up and running we can make something like giveaway but as bonus for block resolving or something like: mine 500k GPC we will give you another 10k for free for a week and later on again 10k for another week. Ofcourse pool should be first donated by dev or anybody. It is better than giveaway becouse will collect miners, make GPC and GPC pool more popular not people who wants only free GPC coins. The best idea will be to run pool at grumpcoin.com domain, like pool.grumpycoin.com. What do you think?
