There seems to be a problem with the code on github around the peers.dat file... It never creates one and just crashes. Is anyone else seeing this?

root@stratum:~/aliencoin/src# ./aliencoind
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Will this solve it?Huh

net.cpp:21:22: fatal error: miniwget.h: No such file or directory
 #include <miniwget.h>
                      ^
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/net.o] Error 1

cant compile any suggestions where i am wrong ?

at op can u update with linux wallet ?

From what I can tell there is a permissions issue with the github repo.. I fixed it on my box and then copied "net.cpp" from another scrypt coin wallet directory.. This is what got me going..

That got the wallet-qt running for me..

Yeah I still haven't even earned my first ALN yet with my 670. At this rate I might just pull out soon and move back to CAT or something.

Sadly, the fundamentals of a coin don't matter at all anymore.  The coin could be fundamentally very solid (like this one), but because it doesn't have the shock n awe promotion behind it, most investors will see 0 value of buying into it.

Coinyecoin proved that a coin can be crap, launched like crap, and smell like crap but still sell well cause everyone and their mama knows about it.

For get this. If the wallet don't work and it's an instamine coin, it's not worth my time. Pleas remove the IcyHash pool. I'd rather invest my time/pools on a more worthwhile coin.

Not possible, we are at block a bit over 1000 and not all were 40, so it is more like ~30k being mined so far.
