i probably did something wrong and lost my 58.000 aliencoins;

my wallet was not syncing anymore so i downloaded it again (most of the times there was an update). i removed all files from the roaming folder except the wallet.dat file and the conf file. and run the new qt file. it synced quite fast. now i have no more coins i my wallet but it shows the number 1456 transactions, i mined 1456 blocks.
- can i get the aliencoins back somehow?
- and what did i do wrong? i do not want to loose numbers like this in the future..

Ofcourse not, where did you save your Wallet.dat file before installing a fresh wallet?

i left the wallet. dat and the conf file in the roaming folder (i have done this for a lot of other coins too).
the strange thing is it shows the number of transactions, but there is no coins as you can see in the screenshot.
i mined them at the start of the coin and maybee only 10 blocks were not confimed.

extract ur private key, by opening the wallet, coping your address , go to the console in help menu, execute "dumprivkey" "youraddress". write down the priv key ( u may repeat this for every address in your wallet)
close wallet, move !! (dont delete) the whole config folder in approaming to a save location, i repeat, DONT DELETE IT.
reopen wallet, it will download the blockchain again. go to console enter "importprivkey" "yourprivatekey" and wait till the chain is rescaned

i think you are right the problem is there somewhere. because when i run the new wallet(with the old wallet.dat file still in the roaming folder) it starts with no adres.

this is what i did now:
i ran the old wallet that is not syncing anymore. i got the priv key. i closed it. i removed all files from the roaming, but had to put the aliencoin.conf file back for the nodes.
i ran the new wallet and it loaded the blocks with a new adres. when i import the priv key i get this:{"code":-5,"message":"Invalid private key"}

i also did this:

i ran the old wallet that is not syncing anymore. i got the priv key. i closed it. i removed all files from the roaming, but left aliencoin.conf and wallet.dat.
i run the new wallet and it loads the blocks with no wallet adres. when i import the priv key i get this:{"code":-5,"message":"Invalid private key"}

move the whole folder to another place, while wallet is NOT running
there should be NO folder anymore, no config nothing
start aliencoin from fresh, import the privkeys

it will take a while to find peers, to reload and scan the blockchain
