Can someone test this pool out for us and let know if all good?  It's the same person that linked the KDC pool earlier. Wink

As you can see the block resolves are starting to settle down nicely, in a way it has worked out well that we didn't get flooded with hashing power like last time.

There is 50 000 000 iCoin premine

each block is only 100 coins.
The huge premine is sitting in the devs wallet.

You know what happens when it hits cryptsy?

This is just to hide it from your eyes, so you don't think at first it's pump and dump

SEE IT YOURSELF   http://ichain.altpool.pw:5000/chain/iCoin?hi=19&count=20

IS THIS TRUE?Huh?

It was 1 % premine which is 5 million.Over 300 000 has already been payed out.

can you explane, how the premine coins will be used? would be nice to know. 5 million permined without a statment looks a little bit greedy Wink

i´ll ask mike from poolerino.com, if he can open a pool. he did a good job with other coins.

So we've got,

1 miningpool down
2 1x troll pool
3 2x p2p pools

hmmmm....

The difficulty is starting to increase a lot faster now.

explanation is very simple: the source on github is flawed. it doesn't allow a daemon to be compiled to run the actual pool...

If the DEV fixes it; pools will come. Otherwise i'm afraid it will be hard to do.

If this is true and the coin was (re)launched without testing Linux daemon compile it unfortunately says a lot about the dev team.
I really hope this is not the case.

The dev does seem quite incompetent - borderline clueless. There are a lot of mh's being wasted right now.

Poolerino.com is / was planing to release a pool, but I cant even sync winQt.....

Well we wait if devs still alive.

I bet he is in the process of hiring a real dev to fix this disaster and salvage his premine.

Hey Mike, try this...  Works for me verry well  Wink

To get on right block chain (current block 5179) please follow these steps:

1. Add node to icoin.conf

Quote
addnode=162.243.22.117
addnode=seed.icoin.pw
addnode=68.0.250.177:9889
addnode=95.21.29.79:9889
addnode=207.138.200.76:9889
addnode=84.98.195.43:9889
addnode=77.172.93.38:9889

2. Delete everything in %appdata%/icoin except wallet.dat and icoin.conf

3. Download this block chain database https://mega.co.nz/#!VotmFbhZ!TICrbzUlmRivS4EkfSM1vzDidUs5VcCTj7e1dEM2jSI and copy to %appdata%/icoin/

4. Start icoin wallet you will get correct blockchain and peers.

Only if Kittehcoin people would work at this one. That one has great new team working on really bad named and marketed coin. This one has great name and logos (logos are made by some guy on this forum not related to Icoin team) and that's about it.

I want to know what you're doing for the people that downloaded and mined on the 1.2 wallet as this announcement thread instructed.
Leaving them all out to dry after having wasted their hashing for hours on a so-called "forked chain"?

I followed all of the instructions in this thread and here is the result of that effort:

MY wallet switches between thinking it's updated, being stuck at 2064 remaining or stuck at 4200+ remaining.

It looks to me like you attempted to "re-release" this coin and everyone decided to ignore the fact that you changed the wallet and mine on the original fail block chain. Because more people ignored the instructions you gave than actually followed the new instructions, you back-peddled and allowed the original release block chain to be the "real one".

The result of that decision is that everyone who followed the correct instructions is fucked.

What are you doing to fix this?
