follow the insructions? it's quite simple.

For some people the instructions didn't work. Myself included but I caught the fact I was on the wrong block chain when the difficulty was still 25 and had time to correct it.

Can anyone now tell me whether there is just changed the number of all coins with this hard fork? Why was there a hard fork?

I have a update for everyone:

Right now our developer is unavailable so we have to wait for some of these issues to be attended too.

As you guys know I was brought in to help with this coin, to get it's name out there... I can honestly say the web designer and marketing of this coin has been really excellent,
unfortunately from the dev side updates have been slow and we in the process of trying to get another developer to join the team so we can bring the dev side inline with the same quality
as the rest of the team.

I will keep you all updated , we really want to see this coin succeed!

Not only did I never get any of the bonuses from the ic.mepoo.cc promotion, I've got a bunch of coin in limbo on whatever fork their pool is stuck on. Also, did anyone ever get a the meme contest bonus? Looks like it's back to Earthcoin for me.  Roll Eyes

Sorry, I don't get it. The block time was reduced from 10min to 3min with the same block reward? So there will be 3times more coins?

Can somebody explain me, why they changed that?!

"Our plan was to create a block chain that offers balance"
What does that mean? A block chain offers balance? hä?

Did we find out if http://icoin.easy-mining.net was a waste of time or not? I seem to be the only one on it, judging by the pool hashrate, but it's accepting shares just fine?? I guess if this one doesn't work (can anyone confirm/deny?), it means there's no working pools. Is it worthwhile to solo mine this with only 1.5MH?

Current block is > 7400. This pool is on wrong blockchain, please don't mine until it's fixed.

It's more from investment POV as opposed to technical, a lot of coins flood the market so they become worthless while others have too little and people horde them.

I tried this pool with and without the "stratum+tcp://" and both failed. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? It actually did accept some shares, but the rest of the type it just kept saying "Pool Request Restart" or "changing pool difficulty" like every 2-3 seconds

Unless the -Q and -E mean something?? I've never mined on a P2P pool before and unfamiliar with those variables..

Just change "YOUR_ICOIN_WALLET_ADDRESS" to your address.

Quote
cgminer --scrypt -s 5 -Q 0 -E 1 -o icoin.altpool.pw:19360 -u YOUR_ICOIN_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x

it just kept saying "Pool Request Restart" or "changing pool difficulty" like every 2-3 seconds -> this is normal, you are mining.

How many chains is this coin on now? 3? 4? Even the pools are having problems with the builds and block updates, amazing.

For bad releases this one takes the cake.

Even the joke coins generated from coingen have been better than this.

Mining software automatically switch to stratum if available.
To force getwork protocol, use --fix-protocol with CGminer or --no-stratum with CPUminer.
Use icoin.altpool.pw as server name (stratum+tcp:// or http:// before is not necessary).

The "-E" param is the expiry time, low value helps to reduce stales. Try with upper values.

Finally, the "-Q" param is the number of works in queue. The default value is 1.

The values -Q 0 -E 1 works fine in most pools, but you can play with these values.

Okay, this coin has so many problems that I'll not be mining anymore. Good luck either way.
