- Got a bitcoin, any money on it? - 427,000 dollars It seems the word bitcoin here means a flash drive, or it is indeed one bitcoin per drive

One of the better SciFi shows running currently, actually. The ratings (8.4) also confirm that. However it is too close to reality for me, so i watch it lazily. But that's just me - I like SciFi Series which do not resemble current reality.

I didn't think they were saying it was a single bitcoin worth $427000, I think it was more just a wallet that they checked the amount of and it contained $427000 worth.

It's -- erm -- some sort of storage device, I thought. Really an amusing nod to Bitcoin technology itself, but really I think it was just a nod and not any sort of insertion of BTC into the show.

This is actually the second episode in witch bitcoin was mentioned. The first was episode 5 where a woman being extorted to keep her artificial heart running had a BTC wallet with 4999 on it.

Hm, I remember that episode and I totally missed that reference. I must be losing my edge.

$427,000 in 2048 after inflation will probably not even buy you lunch at the cheapest noodle place located at the bottom of skycity

Editors of the show demonstrating their lack of knowledge.
They seem to think a "Bitcoin" is a credit card, or card linked to an account, or just an account itself... accessible via thumb drive apparently.

lol It's actually one of the only cop drama's I've wanted to watch just because it's sci-fi, was pleasantly surprised and who's to say in that day and age Bitcoin won't come on holographic USB sticks? the show if you're curious is actually a lot like the anime Ghost in the Shell, lots of sci-fi stuff mixed in with drama and gun fights.

Just a passing ref in ep 8, they went through a safety deposit box and said "no bitcoin".

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
