Disclaimer
The original topic was about celebrating my achievement of earning 100+ merits (archive copy for reference) in the forum where I started from 0. Later it turned out to be a topic of few lists of merit earners (details below). For better understanding by the reader, I had to change the topic title and the contents. This is an ongoing project. The information are being verified manually. Feel free to inform me with the up to date information.

Abstract
In this topic I created 5 lists for merit earners categorized by their initial merit drop and required merits for the next recognized rank.
The motivation is to set an example/live reference for everyone, especially for new members who think earning merit is too difficult. They tends to blame the system rather than admitting their own problems. If these members can do make it to the next recognized level then they (new members) can do it too.

List Summary (Click on the individual list for details)
List of 0 to 100 and plus merit achievers
List of 10 to 100 and plus merit achievers: Coming soon...
List of 100 to 250 and plus merit achievers: Coming soon...
List of 250 to 500 and plus merit achievers: Coming soon...
List of 500 to 1000 and plus merit achievers: Coming soon...

On the comment section you will find some uncomfortable comments like # # # etc (so far). I respect everyone's views but when it's showing anger, frustration from prior conflict of interests especially baseless accusations in most cases then it worth investigating before getting biased.

Here is a list of some members, I find annoying characters to me (just for me btw). They will try to bring everything (anything) they can with their baseless accusations (in my opinion, for you to make a conclusion - please investigate then justify). I try (will try) to avoid their negative inputs except they bring something good on the table.

xtraelv(u=897509)  A twisted mind1 twisted mind, thinks himself a scam buster  # # # # #
bigmelons25(u=1978475)  Mad, disrespectful, racist  #

1 Edited after seeing this claim. Before investigating this user's comments, please make sure to check the timestamps. He had no idea what was going on in BitcoinTalk earlier, especially merit system. He is learning new things since he opened the scam accusation thread against me - continuously adding excessive new contents on his old threads without keeping any log. This can cause confusions to the readers mind since my replies were based on his previous posts. He is doing this to ensure his ground looks very strong for someone who is new to this discussion. Like this one on here. This comment was posted on this topic below by Jet Cash.

Congratulations. Great strategy. Make lots of posts in topics with "merit" as the subject, lots of self promotion and 5 new threads for something that you can say in one.

Most merit obtained from posting in threads with "merit" as the subject. (I probably even missed a few)

It is clear to me and others that "merit" is extremely important to you and that it is the motivation for some of your conduct.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4104852.msg38101744#msg38101744

The red is where merit was given and received from the same users or KNOWN alts / family.

Why do I care ? - normally I wouldn't.

But I am holding you to the standard that you are applying to others.

Do I think you exchanged merit  ? - yes I do. Not just with your brother. Just check the matching dates.

Do I think you have been deliberately merit farming ? - yes I do.

I've given you the same replies you give others. HERE

It made you really angry and you haven't answered the accusations.

Why am I doing this ? To point out the hypocracy of your actions.

Do I want you to get into trouble for merit farming or exchanging merits ? No

I want you to admit and realise that your method and how you treat others (people you don't know)  is wrong.

Yes, but it beats abusing the merit system to gain merits for what amount to shitposts, followed by whiny bitching about the merit system once tagged for doing that.  Know what I mean?

I merited mdayonliner a few times, so you know his posts aren't bad.  It doesn't matter if some (or even all) of his posts were about merit--the point is that they were well thought out and constructive, and he's fairly adept at English.  Compare his posts to xtraelv's, and you'll see quite a contrast.

Most of his posts were dedicated to merit though, he has done a good job.
However, @xtraelv, your received and sent merits are not looking good, To be honest, I'm not accusing you. Almost all merits you received and sent are in a single thread. it looks awkward.

I agree it looks awkward and it has already been the subject of a thorough discussion here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4031390

Congratulation, who says sucking doesn't pay, if we look at your posts we'll see that you have been sucking for people in power and closed your eyes to the truth, all that matters is that you know I'm telling the truth.  Wink

Now let us have a fucking thread for every and each fucking rank up in this forum.  Wink

Now it's time for you to become a slave to DT members. keep blackmailing people and have known extortionists supporting your blackmail attempts. you could spend your life here as a slave. yes DT2 members are slaves. now keep celebrating man. I'm happy for you at the age of 35, keep this life and get paid a few bucks every week. keep blackmailing people so that people in power could reward you with DT2 status. how is this demonstration of impact?

I know truth hurts. tell me if I'm lying. tag me if I'm lying, I will come and would confess and would self-incriminate myself for you. people like you would never find anything of their own in their life. you will never be free.

My suggestion to you mdayonliner, be free, live free and die free. never allow anybody to tell you what you are. take a look at your actions and you'll see that I'm telling you the truth.

Cheers, even though I'm fasting, but a toast for you in your party.

Congrats on gaining 100 merits.

I'm not sure why your focus was on those starting with 0 merit. There are many members who have built on their basic rank allotment, and have received a few hundred additional merits. If your focus was on new members with single accounts, then it would be interesting, but I suspect that some in your list could be alts of established members.. That's just a guess, and I haven't done any investigation.

I don't have any issue with you so don't really want to go indepth in this but: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3502223.msg36761868#msg36761868 Really ?

I understand that the other guy was being a dick but under the criteria - that is a "like" - not a meritable post. It is that easy to make a mistake.

Congrats OP, I also started with 0 merit, so I know your feeling.

Actually if we do not focus on accounts starting with 0 merits, we see more than 200 accounts reached 100 merits and more, see the list of these accounts here (data taken on May 12):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3759121.msg37064273#msg37064273

so this list is close to what OP have in mind, while it did not focus on the initial value of merit they started.

Isn't the whole point of the merit system to award posts that you like? Especially if they provide a benefit to the Bitcoin Talk community.

In my understanding, merit means "worth reading". You don't have to like or even agree to a post, for it to be worth reading.

Update: I totally forgot to say: Congrats!

Well, congratulations for what you have achieved, but is it really important to create a thread and let everyone know that you have ranked up by getting Merits?
I believe people showing off their intelligence in the sense of Merits don't really care about the forum or its quality, but they are only here to rank up and get the status of being intelligent or something, so that people in the forum see them like that.
If someone really cares about the forum, they won't care if they are getting a lot of Merits or nothing at all (they will get a lot most probably, if they only care about the forum), but they will just continue doing what they have been doing without all this celebrations and all.
I know it is not bad to feel good when you achieve something, but reacting like this makes it look like it all revolves around yourself and never has been about the thing you have been putting your efforts to.
That is what I think, and I'm not someone who thinks he is always right. So, it can be wrong.
Cheers.

If merit is that exciting to you for you to make a post about getting 100(to earn more, no doubt), maybe you shouldn't have received any.

Merit is a reward for good posting, but it shouldn't be the sole focus of your time here, which seems to be the case.

Congratulations, I'm wondering how come you can create 800 posts in such a short time? I registered two weeks after you, and here I am only trolling on this forum. Your post count is just a hardcore tryhard, damn! But, your effort speaks for itself though. I guess I'd be more motivated. My goal is only 10 atm.
