How about this idea for SocialCoin:
Next to charity, the coin could also emphasise people's social nature by having the coin accepted in social places like restaurants, coffeeshops, clubs etc.
Wherever we spend time with people we care about we could pay in SocialCoins.
We could sell paper wallets as gift cards.
If we hand out paper wallets to homeless people, they'd be able to eat and get stuff easily with it.
The coin will do a lot better if it's also used for day to day things. If only for charity, people might as well send them some bitcoins as they'd be easily available.
This world could benefit from people caring a bit more about each other.

Sounds great! In order to push this we need to "leave" the online world and each of us who care should go to his close "offline" community and suggest this to business / offline charities. I'll get started in my area and hopefully some of you will do the same. Thank you for your suggestion! |
