This is a nice idea, at least you trying to do something in the real world with SocialCoin.

The current price is actually one of the lowest for coins with less then 1 Billion cap, but it seems to be gaining some interest on Poloniex, with good volume.
It all starts with the traders, if this coin goes to a "normal" price it will create awareness and the amount of donations will increase too.

Indeed, the coin is currently underpriced and this is ashame since we'd really like to give out some big donations in USD value.
Anyway, the highest buy order today was for 200 satoshis which starts to make sense for this coin... I just wish the miners would keep the coins a bit longer to help raise the price and awareness with it,

Need to try second times to raise prices, increase worker confidence

The Guardian have a whole section dedicated to Charity (http://www.theguardian.com/society/charities).
Most likely they could provide contacts from someone interested in taking Socialcoin and maybe write an article about it.

I think the main obstacle is that people dont know about SocialCoin, but it seems to be getting a little more attention.

Also i was looking around, SOC is one of the few coins with 900 Millions max coins, that still have a value under 50 Satoshis.

Hotpoolz is back up!
I bought some hardware and took it to a data center. It took some time to set up properly.

Our previous server (vps) just disappeared one day, to never return.
It is likely the connection and reboot issues in the past were caused by the hosting company.

Luckily I made backups every 15 minutes so we lost just a few minutes of mining, which is compensated for with 0% fee for a while.

Outstanding payments have been made and you can withdraw your coins any time in case you've got some waiting in your account.
