whats up with bitcoin??
everyone is talking about them now but the price stays steadily between 8 to 900 on btc-e

whats up with that, are daytraders happy to make a few bucks a day now so that they buy at 800 and sell at 850 therefore the price is held down artificially.

serious BTC is a complete waste if the value doesnt increase cause except of overstock and Silkroad you cant use BTC for shit, ok maybe money laundeering works fine with BTC but anything else??

to me btc personally is an investment but whatfor invest in something if the price aint going up??

Price depends on supply and demand.

I suggest you do quite a bit more research before coming up with such drivel  Wink

price reflects potential vs. uncertainty and supply&demand. It's a complex issue.

When did you "invest"? If you jumped on the train when it just hit your station, give it some time before it's ready to leave. The only thing to get nervous about is when you're running out of liquidity. Don't put your grocery money into bitcoin.

addendum: On that note, read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.0

im 24/7 involved in BTC i started buying at below 100$ but since decmber all btc is is hot steam

and regarding supply and demand i see everyone talking and most people buying them but theres no gain since december- compared to the times between 2009 and november 2013

plus to many regulations and attempts to stop bitcoin, why is that, is bitcoin now a decentralized money or not

lets just buy Bitcoins adn show the Governments to go to hell with their regulations
thats the only way BTC will raise again but aslong as pussys keep buyin BTC and than worry what will happen regarding regulations and things like that, we will not move an inch, like we didnt the last 4-6 weeks

I don't think you can treat bitcoin as a 401K.

It's a relatively new concept, it's ideologically driven - you don't know what it's future will be (unlike yours and mine - we'll be dead soon). If the idea sounds reasonable to you - get along with the project, if not - abandon ship.

"i started buying at below 100$"

So you've got an 800% return in less than a year, and you're upset? Bitcoin is a great idea still in its early stages. It's not going to magically continue up forever to da moon but it will go up over time (years). Either a good troll or learn some patience.

im going to university so i used my bitcoin wins to live off and pay bills, plus i only could afford to invest about a1000$ back in July, so you get the picture that I didnt turn rich even though i had  800% profit

Man, dealing drugs doesn't have that ROI,  a Madoff pyramid scheme didn't have that ROI.

Selling AKs to Syrian rebels doesn't have that ROI. (An AK used to retail in Lebanon for under $100, now it's over $2,000 in Syria in case anyone wants to trade, I was really surprised).

Consider yourself lucky, but you can't count on bitcoin to keep skyrocketing as a way to make a living.

If Bitcoin is dead why is this forum still a hive of activity and people are trying to get coins any way they can and are willing to pay nearly $1000 for them? Don't say stupid shit. You can buy a lot of things with it; but I also bet you'll be able to buy a hell of a lot more things with it in the near future. You sound just like a pump and dumper who wants to get rich quick. If you were a true believer you wouldn't care about the price but adoption. For Bitcoin to go mainstream it probably had to steady any way and not wildly fluctuate.

of course I look to get rich quick casue nomatter with what I pay I mostly can buy only things I dont need anyways

all that matters to me is that the value goes up and it doesnt right now

it stays between 800- 850 for the most time since xmas so therefore I say Bitcoin is dead

Then leave Bitcoin alone and leave these forums? How is it dead? Dead would be its price hitting 0. It's steady; not dead. You don't have to spend the money now anyway; you can hodl for the future. If you believe in Bitcoin this is what you'd be doing anyway.

It's a currency, but people are treating it as an investment. You can do both, but as with all investments they are not set in stone and are risky. You win or lose, but you need patience.

Funny how people always think that they are entitled to money, welfare, food, shelter, roads, jobs, etc. It is quite rare how easy it was/is to make money out of Bitcoin. Nobody is entitled to anything, work for it and you get paid for what you're worth.

This is unfortunately the mindset of a lot of people who just want to get rich quick and not have to work for it, then they get mad when they're not quite getting rich quickly enough.
