I mean it is time to relaunch the fixed fedora.
How much longer can we take the constant dumping, fluctuation of difficulty and dirt-mixing our fedoras?

Just imagine tipping your fedora at somebody as a compliment, and then he takes it and throws on the ground, spiting on it, trample it. Ok, I will stop joking now.

If anyone has some actual ideas on how to adjust the difficulty algo, other than "the difficulty algo needs to be fixed!", you're welcome to talk about it on the IRC with us, we're at #TIPS on freenode. Webclient is at https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#TIPS

The best explanation for what's happening that I've seen is at http://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraCoin/comments/1wo8jl/a_simple_summary_of_what_is_happening_right_now/
Unlike other explanations this actually gives a neutral view on whats happening, rather than someone spreading FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) to scare people away. It's a good read, I'd suggest you all take a look at it.

= TiPS (FedoraCoin) - 2nd most profitable coin! - active dev team - unique new features = Why aren't you involved with TiPS yet? Cheesy - Feeling generous? TIP the official FedoraCoin mixer ETiPMiXedut8GPBug1hzSJzBDsx4xG6ww6 - Every TIP helps!

Unfortunately he hasn't paid out in some time, I only remember getting a few TIPS to the wallet twice from that site at the start.

BTW I found the site owner in the start of this thread, it seems that he removed his name from the website : Nate Shoffner

This is getting totally out of control..

Some group or pool is manipulating the crap out of FedoraCoin.

They come on for a few minutes with a TON of hashing power and mine a bunch of blocks in a few minutes and then leave us with a really high false diff. We struggle for hours and solve hardly any blocks. Then they come back and repeat. This has been going on for 2-3 days now.

Try transferring some coins to an exchange and watch how long it takes to credit. HOURS. Terrible..

I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to play this game. Sad. I've been mining this coin non-stop since its launch.

So there is only one solution to stop this. Fork the coin and add a new recalculation for diff.

Until that isn´t done stop mining the high diff phase and don´t give the bis ASIC´s the chance to grab the easy coins and dump them.
Also if youminers stop mining they won´t get conformationa and also can´t dump them because they left in immature status.
There are soooo much TIP on the exchanges that TIP can life a long time without new found blocks.
The only thing is you can´t transfer them to and out the exchanges.

STOP MINING until the fork as made

I am sure devs will do that, but until it happens we should not support the ASIC whales by mining  down high diff for them and see how they dump all TIPs
and destroy our invest !!!

Does fork render existing coins useless?
If so, and with update on the way- it might be about a good time to dump all the coins.

by mining  down high diff for them and see how they dump all TIPs
and destroy our invest !!!

Since those "whales" started minig, the amount of coins mined with my pc dropped 10-20-fold;
considering jumps in difficulty and how TIPS are managed (dumped) it makes no sense to mine them.

ASIC whales

Oh, and btw, ASICs have nothing to do with scrypt based fedora.

ASIC's DO NOT EXIST YET

I doubt they are using their 5Mh/s ASIC Scrypt miners to mine TIPS and switching pools constantly to test them out, Even if they did.

ASIC´s do not yet exist for you - You cant buy them, the guys producing the chips run them already.
They would be cracy share them to the public before making a hugh profit on them and playing the most prof. dump game
