stop pools on launch, will you guys never learn? . No pools = solo miners = interest = win please explain. Simple pools kill the ability to solo mine off the bat.

Why does everyone demand a .conf file? Make your own, they are all the same. Just add nodes to it when available.

rpc port is anything you want, as long as it matches the port you use in your mining program. rpcconnect is 127.0.0.1 (local host) unless you are ming a different pc than your wallet is on. You shouldn't need to add nodes unless your wallet won't connect.
