umm 3.14 coin is launching at the same time. i rather stick with this coin though  Smiley
3.14 is almost ASIC only, so I think they're catering to a different market

I would like to try solo on the beginning if possible.

Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to set that up?

If not, I'll just pool as usual.

Everything is now set to go....If you guys would like us to pull the trigger we can go in 15-20 mins...

Up to you

You're gonna catch hell if you launch early, for the record.

Well we caught hell for holding...so....i was asking you guys....I can hold it until 1 AM on the dot.
All i have to do is hit post and the OP is ready to go....source,QT,pools....etc...
So, is there some special place you're gonna hide the wallet qt?

Wallet QT is in the OP when i update....its hosted and tested...
Is there a mac version, or will I have to whip out the net top?

You will have to whip out the Net top....As much as i love and use MAC....compiling is over my head.
I have requested someone to compile one for us....but i dont know if it will make it in time.

Sorry

I would like to try solo on the beginning if possible.

Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to set that up?

If not, I'll just pool as usual.

I've been able to get solo mining up on a couple of coins...

There are really three things that you need to do:

1) set up a .bat file like you would for mining most coins, except in the place of <stratum+tcp...> (the web address and port) you'll put up "localhost:1856".  The 1856 comes from the rpc details listed in the OP.

2) set up the .conf file.  Put it in the Users-><yourname>->App Data->Roaming->Tesla folder.  The .conf file is basically a text file with the extension .conf.  A sample .conf file would look something like:

Code:
rpcuser=Lorren.1
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=1856
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

You're going to want to use your name and password of course.  You'll want it to match the name and password that you use in your .bat file.

3) open up the wallet.

When you run your miner, you'll get some sort of error saying that there's no longpoll or something like that.  That's normal, it just means it's not finding a pool.  You should see messages when there are new blocks or if you find a block (yay!).

Hope that helps :-).

This was probably discussed in the previous pages, but could someone explain how the subsidy works?

It will have the same name as the folder in Appdata->Roaming.  Whatever that ends up being when it is created by the wallet.
