I can only imagine some secret forum somewhere full of people just plotting and planning the newest pump and dumps, coordinating all the threads trying to drive up the value of these coins that are truly absolutely speculative garbage. this is such an interesting market, because people are truly selling rocks to people as diamonds.
but I mean, some of these scamcoins like the 42 coin - the source code for the whole coin doesn't even stop there from being more than 42 coins. the 'developer' might have thought that he was restricting it to only have 42 coins, but that says a lot about how much of a developer he was. are there really so many people investing so much money in something when they don't even have the foresight to look at the actual code that the coin uses, or find out anything even slightly real about it?
mind you, I bet the people in the shitcoin cabal forum are probably making money hand over fist. lol. they should invite me!

From you it is expected to buy such coins when they tell you, not to join them.

I don't see a good future if everyone and their doge start pulling money out of thin air like this. Pandora's Box comes to mind again and again. I'm afraid of hyper-inflation and worse in a few years from now

eventually exchanges will just ignore all new shitclones, like the last wave, then new clones just die out and new releases get 2 noob miners who give up after 5 mins.

it's a great way for people to mine everything else than the good coins so they can focus on mining the good stuff without the difficulty going up. Can you imagine the hashing power all focus on DGC, LTC, MNC, PPC, XPM etc? Hoe much difficulty would grow? it's a shiny distraction so they focus on the good stuff without you taking it

heh, nice setting MAX_MONEY (max size of money in one tx) but sort of forgetting to change GetBlockValue in a way to actually achieve the goal. So it'll produce 31.536 coins/year forever Could be a bit surprise in about 15 months to people who invested in the coin But not as bad coding error as the Pennies (CENT) - small coding error and after stakes in Pennies started to appear, it would then put Zimbabwean dollar to a shame (wow, such a hyperinflation!) And quite common bug is having the difficulty retargetting wrong and then getting killed by multipools.

So I wasn't just misreading the 42 code, it is exactly the way I thought it was. I haven't really looked into the code of any of the other coins, I was just curious about that one when I saw that it was worth 1100 BTC on day 1. Thank god I sold the few (what do they call them with that scamcoin? dents??) I had mined when they were worth 1100 BTC/42 lol.
The even funnier thing is that I've noticed a few people post about how they also noticed that 42 is a complete and utter lie, yet people continue to waste their BTC on the 'rarest coin in the world'. A fool and their money are soon parted, I guess. On that note, I am going to be releasing the London Bridge Coin, you should start sending me your money ahead of time so that you too can own a piece of the bridge.... At least we don't have pre-orders on coins yet, lol.
What a joke. And the whole concept of pre-mining - what a joke as well. I mean a coin might be intended to have 40,000,000,000 coins eventually (but that's over like 40 years) so some bozo developer goes and premines 4,000,000 coins and then claims that it's a legit coin because they are going to use the premine to help the coin along? Yeah right, that's as many coins as everyone else will mine all added together over the next six monthes.
