Hopefully I have all the dependencies bundled in now.

That one works perfectly, thanks!

This morning I found blocks at 5:25, 7:42, 9:22 and 9:30. A lot of luck, specially for the last two.

Hi all, this is my first time on solo mining.
I've started the wallet and given the "setgenerate true -1" command.

A few newbie questions:
Do I have to do anything else?
How do you know when you find a block?
If from the log file, could you paste en extraction of the log of when you find a block, pls?
What does your probability of finding a block depend on? Is it something like yourhashpower/nethashpower ?

Thanks

No go on the Mac yo.  10.9.1.  Tell me your steps to compile and I'll try on mine.

Here's the error it throws out.
Code:
Process:         Metiscoin-Qt [58920]
Path:            /Users/USER/Downloads/Metiscoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Metiscoin-Qt
Identifier:      org.bitcoinfoundation.Bitcoin-Qt
Version:         ???
Code Type:       X86-64 (Native)
Parent Process:  launchd [275]
Responsible:     Metiscoin-Qt [58920]
User ID:         501

Thanks for the detailed info that helps.  Here is another build to try:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xs06lemxy2jqgwq/Metiscoin-Qt-0.0.1.zip

Hopefully I have all the dependencies bundled in now.

If you want to compile it for yourself you need Xcode and Mac Ports installed.  After those are installed you need to run "port install boost db48 qt4-mac openssl miniupnpc git"

Then get the latest source, modify share/qt/Info.plist to point to Metiscoin-Qt, run qmake "USE_UPNP=-" metiscoin-qt.pro and then run make

This may get a binary that will run on your own box, though it will not work on other peoples with just those steps.

10.9.1 crashed:
Code:
Crashed Thread:  0

Exception Type:  EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

Application Specific Information:
dyld: launch, loading dependent libraries

Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/db48/libdb_cxx-4.8.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/USER/Downloads/Metiscoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Metiscoin-Qt

I can't get metiscoin to work on Ubuntu 12.04, when I try to compile from source I always end up with an error:
Quote
-fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2  -MMD -MF obj/alert.d -o obj/alert.o alert.cpp
alert.cpp:268:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/alert.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
Any tips?

You have to create the obj directory manually (inside the src directory where the makefiles are located):
Code:
mkdir obj
