Sorry everybody! the pool has been down for almost half an hour without me noticing it. (i was sleeping late). Mysql has crashed because of low memory. I upgraded the memory in the server and relaunched it. should be up by now.
Added about 63KH/s of love to your pool.

I am unable to get my wallet to connect and sync. Already added a chunk of addnodes to my CONF file. Any ideas?

breakbeater,
Thanks. I have both of those nodes, but the log shows a continual connection timeout. My wallet version should be the latest (v1.2.0.0-gm1-beta).
trying connection 128.199.235.158:1198 lastseen=115.8hrs connection timeout

Got it. For whatever reason, the CONF was being ignored, so I ran the wallet command-line and specified the addnode.

NEW EFFICIENT CPU MINERhow to use CPU rather than GPU to mine in girino pool?
For those of you who asked about the CPU miner, good news: The new version of the miner supports both GPU and CPU mining. As i'm not sure if the GPU version runs without a GPU driver installed, i produced 2 versions of the miner: minerd.exe which supports both CPU and GPU, and minerd-cpuonly.exe, which as its name says, supports only CPU mining. as always, downloads are here: http://girino.org/metisminerThere are no news in the GPU miner, so you only need to update if you intend to do CPU mining. Please enjoy all of you, and happy mining.

@girino. Are we doing something to get more miners on your pool? Have been mining constantly on Girinopool since friday, and we are still only varying from 10-20 workers on the pool.

I am trying all i can, but i have no idea what else to do to call in more people here. Even ypool's tweeter announced the pool, and yet people still flock there and never comes to my pool. If you have any idea of how to attract more people, please i am open to them.

This sounds bit odd but reducing fee might attract users @girino. Are we doing something to get more miners on your pool? Have been mining constantly on Girinopool since friday, and we are still only varying from 10-20 workers on the pool.

You are using the incorrect miner. The ones for girino's pool can be found here: http://girino.org/metisminer/.

Yes, deadthings is right. ypool uses a proprietary protocol, so the miners used on ypool are not the same as those on other pools. download the following miner in order to use pool.girino.org: http://girino.org/metisminer/metis-minerd-win64-cygwin-build4.zipand run: minerd.exe -u xxx -p xxxx -d 0,1 (if you want, you can also use -I 13, but it should be really slow, i'd advise you to use -I 19 or -I 20)

If you have any idea of how to attract more people, please i am open to them. You can compile 32 & 64 bit version of CPU miner for windows ( small size, not 8MB , with possibility to start miner with low (idle) priority like xptminer 1.6 can do. Now i use xptminer 1.6 from ypool, but can use your miner if you compile that. Maybe someone else can use it too.
