In YPOOL work force is very big, there are hundreds of workers, what makes them confidence in the coin, keep digging? And YPOOL says: Metiscoin will be removed early out. Both Please withdraw all your funds. Mining, is still possible for the moment. Until now is still in normal business, how to return a responsibility?
Could they be botnet machines? The two 24-hour period graphs of connected worker activity are almost identical, that's most unlikely unless there's a mechanism at work.

Sorry i'm a little late in this discussion, but when i started the metiscoin pool, i had a custom miner build for CPU and GPU to use getwork protocol (ypool uses it's own proprietary protocol, so i couldn't reuse the same miners). You can check back on this thread, someone said something to the lines of:
- If you build a smaller executable that can run seamlessly in the background with low priority i can put several gigahashes to your pool.
I didn't even answer. I can't afford my domain being listed in antivirus blacklists. But the only use i can see for a small, background, low priority miner is for a botnet or some other kind of "hidden" application (like embed it into apps, browser plugins, etc). So, yes, there's a lot of people mining this stuff unknowingly, botnet or not!
