Excellent question Donk4u.

Yes, they did.

You can see the thread where they admitted it here:

https://www.betcoin.ag/collusion-soft-play-cheating-zero-tolerance-betcoin-poker

Link to specific comment:
https://www.betcoin.ag/collusion-soft-play-cheating-zero-tolerance-betcoin-poker#comment-11099

Here is betcoin.ag lying about it months later....

No we did not allow those players to play in the tournament but as you may know a bitcoin gaming website creates some unique challenges which we embrace.

Dear Betcoin.ag,

Yes you did.

I don't have time to prove all of your lies are lie, but you won't get away with too many in a row.

Please stop lying,

Twitchy

Also worth noting:

Instead of returning all the funds they confiscated from cheaters to the victims, they gave some of them back - and used some for their promotional freeroll.

Quote
We have been following the play of two players in our cash games for nearly 10 days, studying hundreds of hands and receiving feedback from over 20 players that have played against them. Our findings are very clear that two players are colluding, soft playing and cheating other players. We will always protect the integrity of our poker room and have the best possible environment for our players. Their accounts have been banned and even though neither player has ever made a deposit we are allowing them to keep a small portion of the funds.

The remainder and majority of the funds will be dispersed to players that were cheated and used to host a 10 btc freeroll next Sunday February 15, 2015 to make the message clear that collusion, soft play, and cheating will not be tolerated at Betcoin Poker ever and that swift and decisive action will be taken.

We thank all of the players that have come forward with data and please be assured that we will continue to provide a great place for you to play. We welcome all comments and suggestions below.

If you suspect collusion, soft play or any type of cheating at anytime, please message us immediately. ZERO TOLERANCE at Betcoin Poker.

Password for the 10 BTC Anti-Collusion Freeroll is: NoCollusion

Criminals have full database dumps.. OH NO CHEATERS GOT TO PLAY IN A TOUNAMANT!! Huh

I have faith that one day this forum will get threads where people won't just repeat their previous posts or what others have already stated in the same thread. Also that people will stop acting like BTC is toy-money and start holding vendors accountable. Naive? Maybe.

Increased Email Security With Email Verification Code at Betcoin.ag

In order to increase our player security and prevent against phishing attempts and unauthorized messages going to players we have instituted an Email verification system.

Dooglus has very good questions.

Also, what happened? How did 'they' get everyone's account name and email address? Were funds stolen?

Should I include these questions in the the official "Scummy things that Betcoin.ag has done" list under "Serious Questions they've chosen to ignore "

I'll ask one more time, just to be fair.

Multiple Players recieved phishing attempts on their emails. Instead of owning up to this and fixing the bug that allowed someone to access betcoins players emails in  what should have been secure data betcoin implemented verfication where players can see that emails are from betcoin. People have questioned betcoins encryption methods in the past nice to see that instead of acknowledging the problem betcoin is choosing to burry their heads in the sand like an ostrich and not address this serious issue.

To top it all off betcoin is  telling players that people are getting illegal bitcoins and trying to wash thru betcoin which is why there are long delays in cashouts  instead of the truth that some players got phished by being tricked to change passwords because of email hack due to  poor security on betcoin.

Why can Betcoin not address the above issues? Call me a liar and tell me it didn't happen, something.

Okay let me dumb it down for you guys: There is no page or pages to scrape emails and their usernames. It's not broadcast to their client either. It took a SQL injection attack or code execution. Either way, even if the vital data is in other tables or databases, the attackers had access to everything and if they mass-emailed it means they exported databases..

Why don't they admit it? Because they think not telling will preserve some of their revenue.

If you want to start pointing fingers for shotty development practices you're going to get carpal tunnel from most of the startups here.. I've seen far more sloppy work put out to users through these forums.. The lowest bid wins with all these -HYPER SUPER UBER SECURE- solutions development..

I have faith that one day this forum will get threads where people won't just repeat their previous posts or what others have already stated in the same thread. Also that people will stop acting like BTC is toy-money and start holding vendors accountable. Naive? Maybe.

Betcoin keeps sending shills with affiliate link into seals thread. Isn't it ironic that when there was a bug or hole in seals security they plugged it while betcoin can and does nothing to fix its hole in security? On top of everything they lie and tell their player pool that betcoin is being used by people getting illegal bitcoins to wash them . Absurd. Then refuse to address the issue.

I am in the Betcoin signature campaign and can state that Betcoin doesn't suggest or tell anyone where to post.  They have paid me on time for every stage and provided a nice bonus.  It is very interesting to see that as a company gains more popularity it becomes the subject of more attacks and accusations.

They likely contracted an Indian or Middle-Easter developer for next to nothing, which is why they have the problem in the first place, and now can't get him/her or he/she can't find the bug..

I don't see people from seals with an affiliate link post on betcoin thread to poach players. Either way it should be stopped. The main issue is the lack of betcoins security as all emails where compromised and nothing was done to close the open door nor was the issue even acknowlaged by betcoin instead saying people where trying to wash coins on their site when the truth was where trying to figure out how many had phished accounts due to the email hack .

You can part it up and it will come from hot wallets. Although by this time it could go threw faster since you have to wait for it to be canceled and then wait again for withdraw. Put a support ticket in if you havnt and maybe they will get this sorted out for future withdraws.

Betcoin recently had their player pools emails hacked. Person who hacked them then sent phishing emails requesting them to change their passwords in link from email provided. Betcoin has been recently telling its players that withdrawls are being pored over with a fine comb as unscrupulous players have been using betcoin to wash illegally obtained bitcoins. They went this route instead of being honest and explaining that since their emails and phissihng players had money taken and that was why cashouts are taking so long. Honesty is the best policy after all.

And even THAT isn't the full story.  Betcoin had their database hacked (or someone on the inside sold player's private information, nobody is sure which).  In addition to that there was one player who was alleged to have received stolen funds (someone on ACR or BC deposited using stolen credit cards and then dumped those funds to the player on Betcoin through HU hyper SNGs...that player then withdrew in bitcoin.  So when the credit card was disputed, nothing could be done because the funds were already gone.  This is obv a security flaw on all WPN skins but shouldn't hold up withdraws for a majority of players.
