I think if he can see what is going on the market, he will understand why altcoin price based on bitcoin price. we see that bitcoin price is down and the altcoin gets an impact for this. many of altcoin is going to back to the price before and some of the altcoins is going to down too deep without any chance to get up soon. so I think in a few days ago, actually is the best time to sell the altcoin that we have so we can buy back again at this time.

Yes, Bitcoin is the strongest currency in the crytocurrrency market so it definitely determines other currencies. You can see its market capitalization is huge, other currencies are also trading based on bitcoin platform

There are many Altcoin / Bitcoin trading pairs on the exchange. When they make a profit from the altcoin trade, they will sell them off bitcoin. When bitcoin prices are likely to drop then altcoin go to drop too dramatically due to a sell-off, there are very few coffins with altcoin/usdt trading on the market today.

Altcoins prices are not directly based on bitcoins but it was based on ethereum and eth coin is tether to bitcoins that's why all the prices in the market is dropping when bitcoins is decreasing its price.

Bitcoin's price movement generally affects altcoin prices. Especally now increase of alts value is highly correlated with the increase of BTC.
If you look at the current price movement, then your opinion is very much blamed. The bitcoin price rises by itself is not accompanied by some altcoin. Bitcoin prices rise due to information about ETFs and make significant price increases.
The market value of bitcoin does affect the market value of altcoin and rest of the crypto coins but the influence of bitcoin over other crypto currencies is not that much significant as most of the people think of it to be. It is the demand of the altcoin and the overall market cap which decides the market value of any of the crypto coin and that the market value of altcoin is increasing higher because of the higher demand.

The altcoin is a competitor to the bitcoin , so when the bitcoin price increases the altcoin price decrease and when the altcoin increases the bitcoin price increases in this favor the altcoin price is not dependant upon the bitcoin but rather a codependent work

now is BTC price depend altcoin BTC is a move in not up altcoin I think a great time to buy altcoin

Alts do not only have their prices based on bitcoin lately, we do see them on their dollar value as well. Which can be really useful for people who are not from usa because dollar is really valuable compared to many countries.
For example when bitcoin was worth 20k back in december, it was worth x in my country, now if bitcoin worths 15k it will worth x in my country all the same. So when crypto currencies worths some amount in dollar value when you convert it to your own countries currency it is actually not losing value its actually gaining value.

Whatever the price difference is but there are similarities in the up run and down run of values of both that is why such questions arises why is that so, it may be due to its same nature. Besides other things people have a perception about the cryptocurrency not just for Bitcoin but these all are digital which are of same nature so improvement in one brings improvement in other as well.

Of course, very many coins depend on bitcoin, but there are coins with the product and technology and when all the coins fall they show growth
I am really shocked to see such different comments and ideas. Every time I came here in this section, there is something new coming out form deferent people. Now as you are combining these two things that are completely different and independent of one another in my opinion. But who knows which one is right and what is wrong with this bitcoin and altcoin relationship.

We know that Bitcoin is base currency and all the crypto coins are of same nature that is its digital form. Now Bitcoin has great importance and whenever the price of Bitcoin alters then it has a clear affect on Altcoin as well due to the same nature it causes same perception. Now Bitcoin’s price is on its ways towards high target which will bring success for Bitcoin’s users.

No, not all. There are blocks of cryptocurrencies with a price dependent on each other's value. Ethereum, for example, is not always dependent on the value of Bitcoin.

As I observed in it, when bitcoin price goes up most of the altcoins value goes down only few of them are getting increased too while bitcoin was

rapidly increasing its price value. Meaning, there is an effect then whatever happens on bitcoin altcoins affected it also.

You could say that bitcoin price is partly responsible for altcoin price, as you can see when market or btc in particular is down/up you will predict that the altcoins will soon go to the direction where bitcoin is going. If you want to see a big move in altcoins bitcoin needs to be stable in his price action so that investors can pour their money into altcoins. Bitcoin is still the king of the cryptoverse and altcoins need to go down their knees if bitcoin want it. lol Smiley

Obviously. The price of the altcoins are depending on bitcoin. If the price goes down then price of altcoin also gets down. There is a connection of them directly or indirectly

Yes in my opinion it happened because Bitcoin is the center of all Altcoins currently in circulation. Bitcoin can be mentioned is the Mother of all coins. so if the price of Bitcoin falls all prices of Altcoin will drop following it, that's because traders sell their Altcoin for their bitcoin.

There is a connection between bitcoin and altcoin prices because I see if the bitcoin price drops then almost all altcoin will also have a falling price as well if bitcoin prices start to rise then altcoin prices will also rise.

Actually not too. There are many altcoins scattered in the crypto market, but not all altcoin prices are based on bitcoin. I have seen in some markets that when bitcoin is rising there is an altcoin that falls. Vice versa.

Cryptocurrency prices seem to rise and fall in synchrony. No one has been able to explain the phenomenon satisfactorily. It could be due to the combination of large number of whales and bots trading based on latest technical and fundamental infos.
