[FAKE] Amazon to start accepting bitcoin

Cheers to everyone for the all fun. Yes, it was a fake. Remember, don't believe everything you hear on the internet.

The messy details: I emailed Amazon with my question that I showed everyone here. They then responded yesterday and it was a breeze to use HTML edit to give it a few juicy details.

Here is the real email!

Merchants like Amazon accepting bitcoins in future means they are accepting it as a major currency. For consumers, their transaction costs will be reduce. Other merchants may also think to accept it. Good news
