I have been selling physical bitcoins for a while now (since june).
Here is my latest batch of coins of  gold plated 0.01 to try spread word to the masses. These coins have a small error in that the manufacturer miss printed microsoul as micrasoul. This can only be seen with a microscope.
I have put my identity on my web site www.buyphysicalbitcoins.com and would like to introduce my self officially here as another physical bitcoin supplier.
My larger coins have the private key engraved on these have the private key printed on a piece of paper.
I generate all the private keys on a Raspberry pi thats never connected on line and either me or my wife insert the private keys.
P

Here are some pictures I hope you like them Smiley

I will sell them fully funded. PM me for details

I am now accepting WorldAidCoin. Current price for 1 is currently 50k WAC

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

those look really good. sort of pricey though. but i understand it takes metal and shipping and stuff and the denominations are small so u have to charge a premium.

however, when buying 10+, i see no reason to pay that much of a premium. more than 3x the face value of the btc. well 10 is only .1 btc so i suppose.... but then make larger discounts for 20+, 50+, and 100+ then.

I've been meaning to buy one of the 1 BTC of yours, but have failed to save enough money lately. I wish to purchase one of these new 0.01 coins while I still have some BTC ready.

I'm currently building an collection of novelty BitCoin's and physical BitCoin's, contact me if you have any, except Casascius (yet)!

Hi yes they are pricey I suppose for the value of the bitcoin if you consider it in that way. However there are lots of hidden expenses and time spent making these coins and they are made for collectors or investors who want secure places to keep their bitcoins.

I would negotiate on orders over 100 but this would have to be agreed in some kind of discussion based on the current Bitcoin price. If it helps I do take FIAT money for these also.

I've been meaning to buy one of the 1 BTC of yours, but have failed to save enough money lately. I wish to purchase one of these new 0.01 coins while I still have some BTC ready.

Sure no problem I will PM you just now.

hi no I am making some silver coins however these are gold plated bronze Wink

Thx.

Do they come with the "extra security" you mention on your website?:
Quote
Engraved on the back of the coin is a private key so at any stage you can access your funds when you need. I have added an extra bit of security to these coins by writing the private key in a simple coded format. This means the owner of the coin is the only person who can redeem the bitcoin online and not anyone who finds it. I also have covered the coded private key with a security sticker that states the Bitcoin address and your unique Physical Bitcoin Number which will be added to the register of all coins sold.

I can make them with extra security if mixing up the private key in a simple format. But I generally only do those for the engraved ones. If you wanted to order 10 with extra security I could for no extra cost.

Everyone has some kind of devil in them Smiley My devil is my appreciation of fine wine. But seriously this is my company logo but if lots of people do not like it I will potentially just write my company name on future coins.

Can we load them ourselves or is that not possible?

I could discuss this with you yes not a problem. So long as the security sticker is in place and I can vouch for this I have no problem with it. I would mark it on the register as non funded. If you are interested PM me.

OK well basically it is just a logo off my company name MicroSoul. I put a devil head in as everyone has a little devil in them depending on what they like. For some its women, money, chocolate but for me my vice is fine wine. I do appreciate your honesty about the asthetics of the coin however with regards to this.

You cant see the miss spelling with the naked eye you need a microscope. It wasnt deliberate no. Its just one of those coincidences. I know they look a little like the casascius coins but he set a standard of how hard cryptos should look as far as I am concerned so I stuck to his style.

Dear Gravitate,

The idea of a physical coin is attractive, but how can we know that you cannot spend the bitcoins that you put on the physical coins that you sell us?  You are the original creator/owner of the original private key(s) that you engrave on the physical coins, so it is conceivable that you could store those keys will and later spend those bitcoins yourself (assuming not spent yet, but most will buy these to save and not spend the btc).

quote from buyphysicalbitcoins site:
"I also have covered the coded private key with a security sticker that states the Bitcoin address and your unique Physical Bitcoin Number which will be added to the register of all coins sold.  I work alone and once the code is engraved on the Physical Bitcoin is deleted. The only details I keep about the coin are the bitcoin address and the simple equation of how to read the private key on the back (this is in case you forget)."

Thank you,

Daddyhutch

This is an issue with any physical bitcoin. You can't prove a negative (i.e. no one can prove he doesn't keep the private key), as even Mike Caldwell admits:
Quote
Q. It's impossible to prove you didn't keep the private keys, and with all the Bitcoin scams lately, why should I believe you?
A.  I have given out my real-world identity and have digitally signed a list of the Bitcoin addresses used in this project.  I have made it so that it if I were to perpetrate a scam, it would be possible to prove it and to hold me legally accountable - something no scammer wants to do.  You should demand the same from anyone handling your cryptocurrency.

Still around.

I will also vouch for him.  He has been very professional and released his private info to prove his identity.
He also has alot of new things in the works that would be put at risk by messing with the inventory he has sold.  I have not seen any signs he would do anything like that.
Any physical coin there is that risk but many of these vendors like Gravitate do everything they can to alleviate concerns.

Thank you,

Daddyhutch

Agreed, trustworthyness is good.

And this is a great service for a physical coin.

This article on cryptocoinnews is positive.

Hi yes PM for sales please. My web site is currently under modification.

There is a big trust issue when it comes to buying physical bitcoins because at some stage someone has seen the private key to your coins. All I can say is that I have made my ID public and I also have 2 kids so I will not be wanting to fraudulently take money off people and to jail.  I treat data very confidentially and even if there is a slight shance any of it has been seen by others I destroy it regardless of cost implications. I am mainly doing this out of my passion for bitcoin and to promote it which is why I have created lower denomination coins.
Thats a little about me anyway

I just made a purchase of these coins via PM.  I am told they are in the mail and will update this thread upon their arrival.

FWIW, I love the look of these coins and think they're a great buy.  A few years ago one could reasonably give away Casascius' bitcoins away as gifts, but they are now wayyyyy to expensive for that.  These fit the bill perfectly, and will be used by me for gifts to friends and family.

I agree they are great coins and at the right price.
I am hoping to get more and give them to a couple family members at Easter.

I'd assume the minting facility takes care of that. It would probably only be a little more expensive.

Strange coincidence that nearly all physical bitcoins have misspellings.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with creators attempting to add value to their coins.

The delivery of the 1/2 Troy oz .999 Fine Silver coins will be 5 weeks. They will have similar design but the rim, devil, 2014 and B will be 24 ct gold plate.

I have got 500 2014 coins arriving next week I will take some orders.
They are exactly the same as the 2013's but there is a slight improvement on the back of the coin. There was a ridge around the circular recess on the 2013's. This has been taken care of in the 2014's.

I am in need of some bitcoin for new physical coin projects so:

10 for 0.3 BTCFully Funded
20 for 0.6 BTC Fully Funded
50 for 1.8 BTC Fully funded
100  for 2.5 BTC fully funded

Postage is for 50 and 100 is 0.06 BTC.

Smaller amounts will be more per coin obviously.
These prices will not last long.

they will be 0.05 denomination and the price will be around 0.135 BTC based on the current market value for orders over 10. Each coin will have a serial number engraved also to add to the collectability. They were minted in the UK so I could not get them cheap but they will be of a very high standard of manufacture.
The postage of these will be increased also as orders over 5 will not be shipped by regular registered post.

I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HME813A/ref=mp_s_a_1_32?qid=1394838805&sr=8-32&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70 illuminated coin loup from amazon.

This is a further zoomed out picture:

There are loupes that stick directly to your smartphone which would make things a lot easier, because it requires quite some fiddling around to find the right distance for loupe and camera. Its much easier to see with your eyes through the loupe.

If anyone is still interested in the 2013 0.01BTC coin, I have some left on stock. Funded with 0.01BTC, comes in a small plastic bag, with certificate.

Payment only in euro by Bank transfer (SEPA), 25 euro a piece, shipping worldwide from 3.5 euro

I ship from the Netherlands within 1 (max 2) businessday after payment has been received.

http://www.welcometothebitcoinshop.com/product/0-01-btc-microsoul-coin/

Just to clear, I am not stealing this thread or trying to get in the (business)way of gravitate. I have a good business relationship with gravitate, he agrees on me (re)selling his designed and produced awesome coins.

The cert looks nice.

However, personally, I don't like a website on it to reflex a reseller instead of the manufacturer.

How about the manufacturer create (or back) the certs and a site like what was done for casascius with uberbills.

How do you get coins graded?  I have a ton of old coins my grandmother gave me.  The only places around here are pawn shops and that is not a true grade like you got.

I only got this one graded so I'm not sure of I'll sell it at all. Mainly depends on the price you are willing to pay though... :-)

How do you get coins graded?  I have a ton of old coins my grandmother gave me.  The only places around here are pawn shops and that is not a true grade like you got.

That is great.
I don't even know how to get them graded like that.
Still a good grade for the first one.  They are excellent coins.  He really does a good job with them.
Thanks for sharing.  Now the trick question is how much are you going to sell it for?

Check out ANACS and their website. They have a submission form with instructions. Cost is about $12-$20 per coin.

Thanks that is good to know.  I have a bunch of pristine indian head silver nickles and my mom has gold pennies from my grandmother.
This helps a ton.

Grading a low denomination coin is a gamble that the price will go up, because otherwise the grading fee remains too significant.

No problem. I did only one (big) submission so far, but if you have questions on how to complete the form, let me know.

Their submision form is pretty complicated - SO MUCH HELP NEEDED.

Which service tier to use?
What do you put for return shipping?
Do you just kinda put your credit card info and let them figure it out?
Also, they say to send the coins "Place Raw Coins In Mylar Flips" Isn't there a way to send them so they remain in an airtight case?

HELP ME THANK YOU LOVE YOU

Including shipping the grading is $20 without the pub key on the slab you can get it for $12.

They didn't turn up yet. Do you have a tracking code to PM me?

I would definitely buy physical NXT (like a 10000 denomination) as long as the premium isn't too high, like your coins  Smiley
