How about a decreasing reward for interested people? So someone who signs up at the very end gets less than someone whos supporting this coin from the start? That may not be fair though.
What about only dispensing coins to accounts with 10+ activity? We don't want people creating a bunch of shill accounts to claim stake.
Well i was right there when the topic started lol. But i think i will be in a deep sleep when it comes out. So dev dont forget about us...people out of europa Good night and succes with the launch. I will pick up the wallet tommorow. And do some mining for the transactions.

Fail. You are either dumb or doing it to scam people of their money through distribution of coins. You have been warned, tards!

It would be tough to invent some fair criterion, but I think multiple criterions can be combined. You can get coins by account age (perhaps with cap at 2 years or so), or by BTC ownership (again, maybe add some cap at 1 BTC), or by altcoin ownership (same as BTC, but just count value at current exchange price), or maybe add more criteria (post count, account activity, some intelligence/quiz/... competition for coins....) - everybody is then free to select one (usually that one that will give him the maximum coins) and in that way you perhaps get most fair distribution - people having at least something (either big activity, or lot of BTC, or being intelligent) will get coins, people who are poor and dumb and also inactive will get only little

You could also do a "dare" sort of distribution (not as main distro but something fun to do). Kind of like, "first person to take a picture of x and send to this email". I dunno, just thinking :0

I like the idea of giving people multiple options and allowing them to chose the option that gives them the most coins. Thanks!

You should write specs as: Block Time: UNDEFINED / Depends on network hashrate Retarget: NEVER
Am I missing something?

You can't set constant block time without difficulty retarget. Not with current PoW code. Does this mean the network won't function properly ? If by properly you mean "as all other coins" then yes - the network won't function properly. This is what OP post about: (caveats: stales! lots of stales and rejects. Because the difficulty doesn't change, the fastest rig, with the lowest latency wins 99% of the time. On the other hand, having the fastest rig is also a wast of good hashes.... hmmm conundrum...)
Nevertheless, this is a good experiment.

No, it doesn't mean the network doesn't function "properly" It is however a paradigm shift from what everybody is used to. To clarify, we are only arguing technical semantics. They are both technically correct.
