I downloaded the pre-built Linux QT but it doesn't start , in the terminal it gives this error:
./premine-qt: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

ps: I'm on ubuntu 13.10

I also have had trouble getting the QT to work on ubuntu. Mine was a different error. I successfully compiled premined, but still have not gotten QT on unbuntu.

It worked for debian with no issue, im still looking into that.

Don't forget to put in a TX fee to reward the miners! I'm doing 1 PMC fee.

Please donate to the PXL funded PMC AD in my sig if you can!
And once the ad is there if you put the PXL homepage in your sig too it will only drive more traffic to PMC and crypto in general!

You are missing some packages , try

Install boost version 1.49 for your distro
as well as berkley db 4.8 for your distro.
For Ubuntu for example the packages you might need are: http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libdb4.8 for berkleydb and http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/libboost-all-dev for boost.

but I dunno precisely crypto common dependencies

The windows wallet seems to work under ubuntu with wine, I placed it in ~/.wine/drive_c/users/Username/Application Data/Premine/premine-qt.exe with the premine.conf I launched it with wine and it worked

And now I also have a PMC address
