I've been thinking about how to best distribute my coins. I want them to be valuable, but at the same time I don't want to personally profit from the ones I give away. I'll be keeping a stake of coins for that anyway. The ones I give away are to benefit PMC as a currency.
I was considering a few ideas. One was to award PMC to those who come up with the best new ideas or concepts to distribute the currency. Perhaps there's a good idea that someone may pick up and develop.
Secondly, I've considered some sort of charitable donation. Sell PMC for BTC, but give the BTC to a charity that excepts Bitcoin.
Another idea was just trading small amounts of PMC for small amounts of altcoins. Whatever they deemed PMC to be worth. Perhaps this would be easier when the coin has some value associated with it. What I haven't figured out is what on earth I'd do with the altcoins. If they're tradable for BTC I could sell them and use the BTC for Premine development bounties. Not sure about the non-trading coins, though.
Just thinking out loud here. Would like to see some more novel ideas for giveaways. Perhaps likes on Facebook, or blog entries/articles about PMC.
I have been trying to think of a contest, etc. I know I am showing my ignorance (still shows me as a newbie for a reason) but is there a way to identify specific coin movement? I was thinking a hot potato idea would be cool, if possible, register your coin for the contest and whoever has their coin forwarded the most times at the end of a day/week, wins coins.

You can track movement from address to address, and I think you can sign payments, but I don't think you can track a coin in the sense that a coin from from A to B, B to C, is the same coin A sent. If B sent one coin to C, and one coin to D, I'm not sure how you could tell which one is the coin you started with.

+1 I am not sure how I can help except through give aways. But fully agreed, this coin is born trough giveaways and fairness and that is probably also the best future for it Well I want anyone to be able to receive it. However I would prefer those that did would become members of the PMC community too, so anything I can do to also help the coin, while both remaining fair, inclusive and beneficial to PMC, then I'm open to suggestions. I have been giving small amounts on the facebook page I started. https://www.facebook.com/preminecoinPMC

You need to check out The PMC Exchange. It's exactly what you are talking about. Trade Twitter Follows for PMC. Trade digital art for PMC. Trade websites for PMC. Trade other coins for PMC. Trade whatever for PMC. This will help PMC become a coin you work for, not mine for. That way both parties benefit. I get 100 new followers on Twitter, you get 100 PMC. Or vice versa. It'll become a true currency. Just think about what you can do that will benefit someone else, think of a price in PMC, email your request to ThePMCExchange@gmail.com, profit! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=429533.0

Yeah for miners to want to mine this you must use a sizeable transaction fee! Especially now in the early stages. Go to your settings and send with 1 PCM fee!

Hi everybody! This coin definately sounds very interesting and I would like to take part! But as an beginner, it really it not easy to make the wallet run under win7 64-bit - pretty sure that the problem is sitting infront of the monitor Can please somebody help me? I installed the wallet but it doesn't connect so anything I created a "premined.conf" exactly with the code which is shown in OP. I copied this file into the programm-folder and started premined again - nothing happen Then I tried to start this deamon first. A cmd-window is popping up for a fraction of a second whre I only can read "Error...blabla" (last I cannot read because the window disappears too fast). So, ok, I am stupid. Ja. What is the secret key to make it run?? Any help is much appreciated THX!
