Back in to check that I have done the correct thing.

I have not joined a pool as I can't find any.

Scratch the head, oh yeah, solo setup.

Here is what I have entered as the parameters for the shortcut to start minerd.

C:\cryptominingd\minerd.exe -a scrypt -t 4 -s 6 -o http://127.0.0.1:9335 -O premineusername:preminepassword

I see a lot of khash's going past, should I see anything else.

TX fee also set at.01PMC.

How did I go.

Its working. You won't see "shares" when solo mining, as shares are only a mechanic used by pools. You did well.

Shouldn't it be set to -a sha256, not -a scrypt?

good catch

The coin isn't SHA-256. It's a SCrypt coin.

I'm afraid you've been misinformed. Check the first post in the thread. Where did you hear it was Scrypt?

Yeah, I dont have any idea how the word got out that it was scrypt. I made a post about that earlier too.

Premine is SHA256

My mistake. I originally discovered PMC on http://com-http.us/ccdir/pmc/
They have it listed as a scrypt coin for some reason, under their Algorithm section.

Sorry for the confusion!

I need that client code!!!!!

ATTENTION: ByronP is the owner of atomic-trading and he needs a piece of code from the devs so that he can put PMC on his exchange, he doesn't want to have to "poll" the wallets as that is a waste of resources. Who is in charge of giving him what he wants so that we can get it listed?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=216872

He is the developer.

I'm doing what I can. There is really a lot going on, and I'm getting bombarded with messages from everywhere. I will work on it right away. The last thing I need it to push out rushed code. I will not be responding to messages in this thread for a little bit. I will go work on getting this ready.

OK. If anyone asks why you aren't posting, I'll explain you're busy working on development.

I can't believe we're nearly at 80 pages already and 11377 views.

Looks like Premine has gained a little attention. I've not seen a coin thread grow this fast in quite a while.

Yes, I'm afraid that at the end of the day Premine is still a speculative currency, so some people will hold, and others will distribute. However, once we hit an exchange, and we have a faucet, distribution will increase.

If you've seen what happens to other popular altcoins, you'll see they get dumped quickly, but then the market supply becomes scarce and the sell orders start to dry up. That's when the price increases.

There are 500,000 total coins.

Even modestly comparing it to other coins of similar or greater rarity, that's a lot of potential value. Of course some people will hold, but they are not doing themselves any favours. Hoarding prevents distribution, and distribution is essential to give Premine value, or it is worthless.

If you hold several thousand Premine, you make it more valuable by giving small amounts of it away. I don't know how much clearer I can make this to people. This is basic economics.

Thankfully the kind of mindset that makes people hoard also what makes them dump, so hoarders are going to be the biggest losers.

such as Stratum mesages, or is this how it should be.

And also, what is the premined.exe daemon for, I thought it was another mining jigger that is just supplied with the QT?

Note to hoarders;
10 people holding 50k each, PMC is worthless
100 people holding 5k each, it's still worthless
1000 people holding 500 each, has significant amount of users and it's already worth something.

So if you're holding more than 1k coins you're not being greedy enough, you must set them free to gain more in future. I had 12k coins sent to me in total and I gave most of them away to as many different people as I could.

I'm agree but this is like a disease. The more you have and the more you want, even if now the coins haven't any value.

Collect, collect and collect and hold till they reach an exchange or when the price goes down.

17JnG3onCyxdR8WGDK5iXj1dUNF8PThRY8 Send me some with a TX fee of atleast 5%, I'll redistribute the coins in this thread with this fee again to keep the network alive.

I've spread out the coins that I got from last time with the fee, if anyone is interested in sending me some: I will give them away in small portions (~0.5) with a high tx fee on them, so that the people will have something to mine.

Yes. Premine doesn't work like that. At least it won't until the coin has been distributed far enough. Once it is being traded regularly it can act like any normal Crypto via mining tx fees, however the concept of continually being given and giving away the coins you have is probably counter-intuitive to a lot of people. It's a hard concept for some to swallow. You can't sit on Premine and expect it to go up, and in the future if you suddenly come along and want the community to welcome you when you have done nothing to help it get to where it is, then you are going to be shunned.

As I said however giving the coin away is just one means of distribution. I still have 2k for further promotions in the near future, and 57 coins right now for continued donations in this thread. Any coins I am being given are being distributed further, and if ten or more honest people are doing what I'm doing, the coin will stand a chance.

you will not see any shares you'll only see when you find a block. This is not pool mining it's solo mining, connected to your local server.
Only kh/s is ok for CPU mining. PMC is SHA256 you should use at least GPU or better ASIC miner with several GH/s to find enough blocks.
premined.exe: if you start it it will be running in the background as a daemon process. you will not see your wallet as you are used to with pemine-qt.
